Half and Half Christian

If a person claims to be christian is it right for that person to own a radio station that promotes drinking, worldly songs, promotes dance parties,etc... and then for that person to say that's my job side of my life but my job has nothing to do with my christianity. I would think since he is the owner of this radio station doesn't he have the right to decide what type of content he will include? Or am I wrong?

No, at least at this point in this person's life they are either very immature or double minded...

I agree with those who say there is no difference for us as Christians on or off the job. My stance for Christ over the years has cost me a few jobs, one of them some years ago as a foreman, because I would not lie, cheat, or steal for the millionaire owner of the company. But praise God, that was OK, He had other work for me, and allowed me to witness to the owner a number of times along the way.

The "christian" radio station owner certainly has the right to broadcast whatever he would like to, but from what you said, it would in no way glorify God.

Something to consider:

A friend was telling me about his trip to Israel and some lessons learned. Back in Jesus' day, salt was harvested from the Dead Sea region. Blocks of salt were cut away and taken to different places for sale. On the journey, dust and sand would coat the outer sides of the blocks. Apparently, the people would put thes blocks of salt in the center of their table and scrape particles off for use. However, after a time it got to the point where they dug down to the outer portion where the dust and sand was inermixed with the salt. When it came to the point where there was too mush dust and sand to make harvesting the salt out worth it, they would say, "The salt has lost its flavor." Then what was left of the block would be thrown out into the street.

And Jesus said: "You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men." (Matt. 5:13)

I owned a few theatres and a bar in the 80s. I had to give them up. Running the theatre business made me feel as though I was a priest in a temple that promoted nothing but abominations. The industry promotes rape and murder. I have four daughters and felt that if anything like that occurred against them I would have to share responsibility. Many years later, one of my daughters had been stalked and the guy had even taken pictures of her and posted them on a wall in his house. He ended up being deported. I believe that the Lord protected her due to the sacrifice I made.

drinking isnt a sin. dance parties arent sinful and what are wordly songs? music like Madonna, Justin Tiberlake etc? i'll listen to that.

If he turned it to a Christian station, he would lose his entire audience. If I owned it, I would play crossover artists and simply delete artists that clearly promote sin.
