Our purpose, as with Christ's, is not to judge, but to bring His salvation to the world.

John 12:47

And if anyone hears My words and does not believe, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world.

You use this scripture to bring in the part of not judging.

Matthew 7:1

Judge not, that you be not judged.

One could also use this one.

Luke 6:37

Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.

But is all this telling us not to judge at all? No, it is saying that how we judge, we will be judged. There are many forms of judgment. You can judge if you like a certain car better then another. You can judge if you think one test is harder then another. You can judge if a person is telling the truth about you, or a lie. You can judge a person by their looks. Some may even try to judge one's salvation. Their are many ways to look at judging, but judge we do.

Luke 12:57

Yes, and why, even of yourselves, do you not judge what is right?

and

John 7:24

Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment.

Paul, an Apostle, judged.

1 Corinthians 5

It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and such sexual immorality as is not even named among the Gentiles

It is bittersweet because I enjoy the fellowship. I will start looking for a new Bible study next week. I thought I could avoid their tactics or maybe get used to them after awhile but I sit in study constantly on edge. Someone is telling me to run out of that place but at the same time I feel like maybe they need me? Maybe they need someone to bring them back to being human again?

That's not your job. It is the Holy Spirits. If the Spirit is working in you and telling you to run, then follow the Spirit. He will never lead you to do anything that is non-Biblical.

Any church that operates in the gifts of the Spirit would do well to follow Paul's instructions on their proper use, found in 1 Cor chapters 12-14. I am thinking in particular of this:

1Cor 14:29 Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge.

30 If any thing be revealed to another that sitteth by, let the first hold his peace.

31 For ye may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted.

32 And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.

Notice the end of verse 29: and let the other judge. Also notice the start of that same verse: two or three. The whole service is not to be taken over by prophesies.

1 John 4 is good to keep in mind as well:

1John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:

3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

False prophets are an ancient problem which we are warned to be wary of, and there are many tares growing among the wheat. Hope this is a help.

I believe in prophets. I believe they exist today. I believe God can give people visions. BUT...

Many times churches chase the spiritual gifts instead of the Giver of the gifts. When they have it backwards as such, they are then breaking God's 1st and 2nd commandments. Serving another god, and chasing after the idol being "gifts." Generally if not all of the time, Satan is the one to answer folks like this with his "lying signs and wonders" and all the while calling it "God."

When one has a "true" word from the One True God, it will ALWAYS line up with the Word of God. Folks that are in this place, always humbly place God first and foremost in their lives. When and if he should bring a Word through them, they are looking for Him alone to be glorified, and what they say will glorify Him and His Word will be rightly divided. God does not add or take away from His Word EVER.

Rev 22:18-19

(18) For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

(19) And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

The Comforter (Holy Spirit) will ALWAYS point men and women to Jesus Christ and His Word:

Joh 15:26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me: (The 'me' being Jesus Christ and His Word.)

As Christians we should all get to know the God of the Bible as much as the Bible of God. We will then be able to discern Truth from Error and do away the false prophesies, preachings, and teachings that have permeated many a church in this day.

So tell me. What would you do if you were in my situation? Would you walk away or tell these people they are wrong?

Pray and show them according to God's Word they are wrong. Present it to the leadership on paper perhaps. Bring about their need to repent of following after their own vain imaginations, all the while calling it a "word" from God...

When the Truth has been presented, and still not accepted.... Run!!!

There are a few very good points here, but the final conclusion may not be good. We need to be following the Lord and checking the spirits. So it's spirits we are checking!!! Too often we get to thinking we are battling with people and not spirits. If we are following the Lord, how then did we wind up at this a church like this? If I was following the Lord then I would have been at that church because He took me there, so do I just run?

At all times we need to be communicating with the Lord, however we don't always do that. So why the question: "What would you do if you were in my situation?"

The answer is obvious. I would start up a conversation with the Lord. Perhaps He would want me to say of do something, or perhaps He wants me to stay and just observe and learn, or perhaps He might want me to inter into some type of spiritual warfare and prayer of that type, or perhaps He didn't want me there at all and was just showing me that I need to listen to Him more. How do we know if we are not turning to get advice from Him?

Ok, maybe these people that were gathering together to worship the Lord, but were not listening to the Lord as they should of. Yet how did they differ from the person that went their and wasn't listening to the Lord either? Neither were listening to the Lord like they should. So then we have one Christian person, finding fault with another Christian person, when we are all not listening to the Lord like we should!!

Where is the forgiveness? Where is the understanding? Where is the Lord in all this? I don't listen to the Lord as much as I should, so shouldn't I be understanding of those that are like me, even if that fault shows up in different ways?

I do a lot of telling people to listen to the Lord, and a big reason for that is that I need to hear it myself. [if you teach don't you teach yourself] In Hebrews it is written that we need to encourage each other as long as today is called today. But encourage them in what way? In Hebrews it is written 3 times, "Today if you hear His voice." So we are encouraging each other to hear His voice today.

Precisely! Leave it to the Spirit, be there to pray for revelation, as hard as it may be, but maybe that is why you have been placed there?

Est 4:14 For if you keep silent at this time, relief and deliverance will rise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father's house will perish. And who knows whether you have not come to the kingdom for such a time as this?"

Esther fasted on this question, got the answer, and took action. Pray into it and wait on Him. Only He will change their hearts, but maybe He will use you to do it?

Blessings

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
