I think everyone would!

The way it has been handled and hidden is the problem. Half of Congress has been excluded the entire time and that's just wrong. Many people offered solutions and options which simply weren't even allowed a discussion...but then they lie and say no alternatives were offered.

Obviously they think Americans are too stupid to know a skunk when we smell it

the arrogance and lies and ridicule of people who simply want our Constitutionally guarantees voice in the process is the problem here but that doesn't stop them from claiming we simply don't want reform

that is abother bald faced lie...I can't stand insurance companies any more than lying politicians

A bill is a proposed law. Once a bill is voted on and passed, it becomes a law.

Yes I know that part. Instead of the sneaky way of "deemed passed", it was actually voted on as full bill status.

The fight is just beginning....

Evryone wants reform and evryone wants insurance companies to do the right thing but that has never been the issue here

This is taxation without representation when they craft it behind locked doors with half of the nations representatives locked out of the process. This was done because there are so many things in it that have nothing to do with health care.

Now we find that they are adding 17,000 IRS agents to enforce it. why the IRS?

They are above the law in so many ways. They don't need a court order to search and seize property. The Gestapo didn't have any more power than the IRS

That should scare the **** out of everyone and it tells me all I need to know. Forcing people to buy something from the government is against the Constitution. This MUST not stand because of the power grab and because of the things hidden in this that no one knows about, including Obama.

Yod, they are not forcing you to buy anything from the government, they are forcing you to buy something from a private insurance company.

What the government does is set up the minimum coverage the companies need/have to offer. It's my understanding that those will be the same as the insurance that the house and senate now have. There will be some people who are put into Medicare, but they will not actually buy that, just be allowed to enroll.

All that the IRS does is make sure you do actually have insurance and enforce a tax that is assessed if you refuse to purchase the minimum coverage. They will assist you in purchasing the insurance if you can not afford it, and they alone in the government have the information to assess that position of need.

We live in a Republic, and in a Republic, we elect people into the offices set by the Constitution. It is not the job of those people to do the "Will of the People" it is their job to do what is best for the country, for sometimes what needs to be done is not popular.

Well many of the people who voted for this bill did so to their own detriment and knew it when they cast their vote.

So, since none of us really know what all is in this bill, we do owe it to them to at least see what's in there and how it will effect each of us before we throw them under the bus......... We should have some idea by the November elections and if the Conservative view of the bill turns out to be reality, there will be many many fatalities on that November Bus Run.

BTW, I would wager that there is nothing in the bill that Obama does not know about. My guess is that most of this bill that was not Republican ammendments came from/through Ezekiel Manuel, and you can find his ideas in a book he released last summer. If my guess is right and this is Ezekiel's ideas, you may well have some pleasant surprises just over the horizon.

I scanned down through the bill this afternoon, and it's not that complicated if you take the time to understand how it's written...... just very time consuming

All hell breaks loose tomorrow over this. The AG of Florida will file suit in the Supreme Court against it, along with 37 other AG's from 37 States.

There is also word that because they changed the original draft of the Senate version that they passed that the Sentae will demand it be returned to them for a vote. It's no longer the Senate bill it's a new version of it that the Senate didn't actually vote on.

No Republican will vote on it and it requuires a majority to pass. They don't have the votes in the Senate.

However, the Law hasn't stopped them up to this point.

It's actually a downright despicable shame that this has been foisted upon the American citizen.

The first bill they voted on tonight was the Senate Bill as it was passed by the Senate, the second vote was for some changes and that is the reconcilliation part of the process and only takes 51 votes to pass, and will be passed by the senate..... whatever the case the health bill will become law when Obama Signs it, and the Senate can't vote on the other until Obama does sigh it and is law.

Like it or not, we will have a new health care system.
