I don't consider anything Hitler's goons said to be quoteworthy.....even if it's true.

I think Goebbels gives us great insight into how the Progressives work.

Simply thinking progressively doesn't make a person a Nazi, yod. It depends on the agenda. Jesus was a Progressive of sorts; He came to change the world; and He did. He saved every one of us who follow Him from damnation. Hitler was a Progressive too....and he also changed the world. In the worst possible way.

Did you ever have the least bit of discernment concerning politicians, thieves, or murderers?....heck, anything?

I don't mind saying "I told you so" over something this important.

Churchill was screaming a warning for many many years and EVERYONE else was wrong.

I often have discernment....for instance, I recognize when someone tries to talk down to me. It's an exercise in futility, btw.

Then why can't you make a decision between right and wrong (no, good and evil) when it comes to Obama and the Communist Party of America? You just so easily duped into giving them the benefit of doubt when none remains

They are counting on folks like you to do that....just as Goebbels did in 1930s Germany. We have less than a year before it is too late.

MG, I think I speak for all of us when I say that we love you. I've honestly never had an angry thought about you...frustration? Yes! Anger, no!

The duped don't know they are. Being skeptical of everything means you can't make a decision on anything. There comes a point when you have to trust SOMETHING that resembles the truth no matter how uncomfortable it makes you feel. IF (and it's not a big "if") America loses the mid-term elections, and the Democrats are able to steal the next election consolidating their power, then here is my next prediction;

They will come for you just like they come for me. It could happen before the elections, actually. Laugh while you have the chance, sister.

I believe the duped are the followers. I don't follow, I lead. And being skeptical makes one make their own decisions instead of listening to what others think. I trust in the Lord; He is the one in control. I'm not sure where you get these ideas about half of the government conspiring to become totalitarian and silence the opposition but I'd be willing to bet you're listening to someone who is saying this. I don't assume that such a thing could NEVER happen; nor do I assume that everyone who disagrees with me is plotting to control me.

I'm not laughing, btw. I'm watching and trying to sift through the garbage in the media to get at the truth. People like Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh are entertainers; they are not political analysts. I watch Beck's show and I listen to Rush on the radio. Do I believe everything they say? Absolutely not. They're preaching to the choir.

You made your mind up about what? That Yod, Nebula and me are all wrong about the left and that Limbaugh and Beck are entertainers? You said no one dupes you into anything. I am happy to hear that, but if it is true, you are the only person I have ever met that can say that. I know I have been duped in the past.

Where did you get that I think you are all wrong about the left? I believe that some of the stuff you guys said is true and I don't believe some of the other stuff. (Limbaugh and Beck ARE entertainers, btw.) As for being duped, yes I have been in the past as well. I voted for GWB twice for governor of Texas and twice for President, for Pete's sake! And then I find out a couple of years ago that he isn't who I thought he was at all; but he's a politician. This didn't make me hate him; it just made me realize what the game was. I've learned to listen to them much more carefully and assume everything they say is carefully orchestrated and suspect. And I don't support any political party anymore.

Goebbels never said that. In fact, the idea behind that quote is more attributable to Hitler (in Mein Kampf) and to the United States Office of Strategic Services. However, the quote in the manner you have used it is fiction...and ironically...almost propaganda.

Hitler wrote that the Jews were using this type of concept after WWI to influence the media. So, in an odd turn of events, you are playing the role of Hitler in making the accusation against your target that they are using the 'big lie' technique. There is simply no evidence that our current gov't (as much as I dislike them) is engaging in this type of propaganda, just as Hitler probably had no evidence that the Jews were using the 'big lie' to influence the media after WWI.

I agree with MG that the current US gov't is acting out of a belief that what they are doing is the right thing and they happen to have the power and ability to see their ideologies through.

Good point, Axx. As any majority in government would do. I've often told those with whom I've discussed the health care reform bill that, if the GOP had taken care of the problem on THEIR watch, we wouldn't be looking into the gaping mouth of this monstrosity now. The key is not to dissolve into 'destroy the other side' mode but to work hard to elect people who will make this bill into what we really need.

Of course Limbaugh and Beck are entertainers, but that doesn't mean the things they say are false. They give a lot of factual information and add humor to the shows. I don't agree with everything either of them say, but Glenn Beck has been one of the best investigative reporters I have ever seen. He is doing the job the news media should be doing. I don't agree with all of his conclusions but I listen to him for the information.
