Oh, ugh! I didn't know that. What about the next of kin? They have no legal rights in Spain when a family member dies without stating their wishes?

I don't think so. It's seen as a decision you have to take yourself before you die. Maybe, it's easier for the family in someways, it's hard enough dealing with the death of someone so close without being bothered by surgeon seeking permision to remove organs.

And I resent having to provide free healthcare to people who have entered our country illegally, who don't pay taxes and take jobs from Americans while we have 10% unemployment. What is the population of Canada? 30 million? Not 300,000,000 like us. It takes a lot more tax money (which doesn't get collected) to provide "free" healthcare to 300 million than to 30 million.
