Does Romans 2:5 fit in with this?

Romans 2:5-6

5 But because of your stubbornness and unrepentant heart you are storing up wrath for yourself in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God,

If we are saved by faith(in Christ) only, can one be saved without repenting of sin?

I never got a really good answer before.

Ro 3:25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

If the sins are in the present . . . how can there be remission thereof?

That is because we are not saved by faith only. We are saved by Christ only. Your approach to this issue makes the person and not Christ the object of faith. Your faith is in your actions, not in Christ. It really is a subtle form of idolatry.

Okay, I'll modify so that you can understand it without the semantics:

If we are saved by faith(in Christ) only, can one be saved without repenting of sin?

I never got a really good answer before.

Why do we recognize the meaning of the word faithful . . . yet somehow separate the word from a description of faith?

Ac 17:30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent

Heb 5:12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.

13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.

14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

6:1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,

2 Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.

3 And this will we do, if God permit.

4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,

5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,

6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

If you are thinking about what is "required' for salvation you may already have a problem.

If you are saved you will want to repent or turn from any sin you are aware of. I mean we are told that we are to be ready to die for Christ and we worry about repenting for grieving the Holy Spirit?

You will someday know the correct answer to your question.

'eis' date='Apr 15 2010,

If we are saved by faith(in Christ) only.

"IF" shows uncertainty about the way of salvation. let's take a look at your thought here thus far.>>>>>saved "By faith in Christ" only.>>>>>Let's look at the book of.............

Ephesians 2:8--For "by grace" are ye saved through; faith" and that "NOT" of of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

This verse says, we are saved "By" grace "Through" faith and we cannot save ourselves because salvation is a "Gift" from "God" And there is absolutely nothing "No-Thing" that we can do on our own to obtain that gift of God. God has only one way to obtain the gift of God, the gift of eternal life. I think this leads us into your question.

Can one be saved without repenting of sin?

No, you cannot do anything by yourself to obtain eternal life not any kind of a work on your own that one may make up will not work it takes repentance unto salvation confession with your mouth.

Romans 1:16-17--For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. vs.17) For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

It says, that it is the gospel of Christ that's the power of God unto salvation to everybody that believes the gospel message of Christ in how he came to this world to be a sacrifice for the sins of mankind. One has to believe that Christ came into the world to conqeur death, hell and the grave. So one has to "Believe" in what the gospel has to tell us about Jesus Christ in how he was the only begotten Son of God as the gospel shares alot about the life of Christ and the reason he came into this world. But one has to believe or they cannot be saved. So it takes faith in believing in the gospel that is preach. So let's look further into the gospel about confession in the book of........hopefully you will read the whole of the tenth chapter.........

Romans 10:8-11,13--But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart; that is, the the word of faith, which we preach; vs.9) That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thy heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. vs.10) For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. vs.11) For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. vs. 13) For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. (vs. 14-17) hope you will read.

The scripture tells us the word of faith is in our heart that came from the preaching of the gospel and as one hears it faith comes up in their heart as they that believe will be saved and those who do not believe in the gospel will be lost. The faith in our heart causes us to confess with our mouths the Lord Jesus and if one believes inside their hearts that God raised Christ from the dead they will be saved.

Scripture tells us that it takes both faith and confession of that faith that you have believing the gospel message that it is true the message of the cross that forgiveness of sins. But we have to confess with our mouths that Jesus was the Savior of the world confessing our sins as the blood of Jesus will cleanse our hearts and we will be saved. The work of the cross, the preaching of the cross, is the way to be saved recieving the gift of God which is eternal life, being salvation of our souls.

Mat 18:8 And if your hand or your foot causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life crippled or lame than with two hands or two feet to be thrown into the eternal fire.

Mat 18:9 And if your eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life with one eye than with two eyes to be thrown into the hell of fire.

Does this answer the question?

So, eis - was your question answered?

Yes, some feel that you do not have to repent. Others believe that you have to repent.

I feel that you cannot be saved without repenting. Repenting is not a work, but it is a "doing".

For those who are of faith only, nothing else, one is saved without repentance because then they would be doing something.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
