Amen Josh. :emot-highfive:

Part of the problem between Jews and Christians over the Centuries is the perception of whom G-d is and how He has revealed Himself....the Jews stress the Oneness of G-d, but many Christians have in my understanding, over-emphasised Trinitarian doctrine and created something that was never stressed in such a way. In the Old Covenant the Israelites were well aware of the Holy Spirit, and David cried out for G-d not to take Himself away from him....

Psalm51:9 Hide Your face from my sins

And blot out all my iniquities.

10 Create in me a clean heart, O God,

And renew a steadfast spirit within me.

11 Do not cast me away from Your presence

And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me.

12 Restore to me the joy of Your salvation

And sustain me with a willing spirit.

13 Then I will teach transgressors Your ways,

And sinners will be converted to You.

In these days G-d has revealed Himself through Jesus, and He is the same Yesterday, Today and Forever.

Botz, I really understand where you are coming from. The Jews really do emphasise and cling to Duet 6:4. I don't separate who they are either. I guess I should have been clearer and asked which ROLE of God you feel more readily able to approach. Lesson learned!

The role of High Priest, for me, I can most easily relate to (and I am hoping that relate is the right word...). The role of Father, given my own earthly experience with fathers, is a little harder for me.

Does that clear things up? It's really not about the individual members, and everyone has correctly said that they are one... it's about roles.

There is something unsettling about this that sent me to prayer in the shower (where all good prayer happens :emot-heartbeat: ).

Christ has paid the price and the veil is torn, so we have access to God, in all His roles, and in all members of the Trinity. I do understand that all members are One and we should approach God as One.

Perhaps it is sin and hurt and poor teachings / understandings that prevents some of us from reaching a full measure of relationship with some of these roles and members?

In reality, I am closer to some roles than others. I don't know why but I have all confidence that He will do a work in me to address. I readily accept that we have access to a deep mature relationship with God in His entirety and in all members and roles, and thus, our relationship with the elements of the trinity, and with the roles of God, should be equal.

If you don't experience this, then that is wonderful, and I can celebrate with you the work that Christ has done in your lives :emot-highfive: .

It's more complicated than that. There is still broken pieces, corrupt images, fears, wounds, etc. that need to be made right.

Sorry been busy for a few days.....just briefly as this thread seems to have moved on.

I think many people have a fragmented view of G-d, because they approach Him based more on theological definitions than out of relationship...the very use of the word Trinity makes me shudder...it is so sterile and academic.

I know many people talk of the difficulty in relating to G-d as Father because of really hard times they had with their earthly father...something that may help is that all the things you ever wished your earthly father to be, but wasn't are found in G-d, and you do not have to try and relate to this role of G-d through the distorted role of your earthly father.

My father was a good Dad in many ways...but in others he was weak, and he would have admitted it...but I loved him and admired him, and I still miss him after 20 years...but I have never ever related to G-d through him. My Heavenly Father is perfect, and I trust Him implicitly. My point being, whether you had a good father or a diabolical father, you do not have to filter your Heavenly Father through images and memories that are untrue and keep making the bad memories rise up.

I believe the enemy always has a plan to make our lives defeated and ineffective, and one that I have discovered for myself is how much he wants to distort our understanding of the L-rd and give us a plastic throwaway facsimile to focus on, rather than how G-d has revealed Himself....it is a lie, and it is a trick...we need to resist and expose this deceitfulness, and come into a position of faith and believe....Behold the Father through your G-d-given EYES OF FAITH,,,then you will see clearly.

Hope it makes sense. Botz

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
