Without any question - 'Patience'. If you want to go through a great deal of testing - just ask for patience.

Personally, I say patience.

Here's why: Romans 5:3-4 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: KJV

The formula is not an easy one, the tribulations come BEFORE the patience.

I don't understand why any of those would be considered dangerous.

For me, a dangerous prayer would be praying against someone.

That's not a prayer. It's witchcraft

Lord, Your will be done. Because I want my will.

I think that the most dangerous prayer perhaps are the ones we don't pray as the lost so many times reject Jesus as their personal Saviour.

The most dangerous prayer of a believer is the prayer that is not prayed such as finding more grace to help in time of trouble. Not praying for the lost just not praying in general.

We forget "What A Friend We Have In Jesus"

Voted for humilty cause i've seen it happen. With my family. My dad asked for humility, and the family came as the whole package.

I think by dangerous, you mean, the one that will come with the most risks at hand, but also the most rewarding..no? Not dangerous in the sense of the meaning, but in the sense that it will come with tests thrown at you, and even brake you, but when you pass, your one step closer to God.

I voted other.

To me, the most dangerous prayer is along the lines of what Onelight said: a prayer of selfishness like Lord give me a million dollars. Dangerous because that reveals a heart that isnt solid in Him. A prayer in which riches mean more to someone. That doesnt mean you shouldnt pray Lord I need help meeting my bills, or Lord I need money for groceries. That isnt the same reliance on riches.

I was talking to my wife about this last night, and she made the point that patience and humility are fruit of the Spirit. You have the fruit of longsuffering and meekness.

True

If we are walking in the Spirit, we will bear fruit, so what we should be praying for is to always be led by the Holy Ghost. There is no reason to fear this will lead to God putting things in our path to make life harder than it already is, or people in our path to drive away a prideful attitude.

Check out the verses about pruning, though.

When I read the comment about praying for the Lord to break your heart with the things that break his heart, I thought you meant like the sinfulness of the world, or those who are lost and on their way to hell. From what you said here, it seems more like you are speaking of asking to suffer the same persecutions Christ suffered.

Actually, Butero, I had no preconceived notions of what breaks God's heart.

I leave it to Him to decide what to teach me about Himself.

Do you suppose you know all there is to know about God? If you ask to share in His heart, do you suppose to know beforehand what piece of His heart He will share?

I can see nothing good that would come of that?

The more I seek you,

the more I find you.

The more I find you,

the more I love you

I wanna sit at your feet

drink from the cup in your hand.

Lay back against you and breath,

hear your heart beat

(Kari Jobe)

I am trying to figure out what you mean by people accusing someone of "not being good?" Within ourselves, none of us are good, but Christ was perfect. It is hard to fathom a situation where I could compare someone accusing me of not being good with accusing Christ of not being good. In my case, it would be true, but in his case, it would be a lie.

I think you misunderstood me.

I was accused of dishonesty and acting underhandedly by a close family member.

As I was crying to the Lord in my pain, I was given the thought, "This is how the Lord feels when His children accuse Him of not being good." (Maybe not the exact quote, but that was the impression.)

And yes, Christians do accuse the Lord of not being good.

You know, "The 'Why God?!'" asked in a blaming tone?
