How about replacing this day with:

"Share-the-Gospel-with-a-Muslim" day? or

"Invite your Muslim neighbour over for tea and Bible study" day?

"Pray with a Muslim over his/her needs in Jesus' name" day?

It has worked pretty well for us so far here in Canada, by the way... :emot-highfive:

My friend Nancy, who has been a missionary in North Africa for 15 years, told us this story. This young Muslim woman, who was very devout, had bene unemployed for a while and was very worried because she couldn't earn a living. Nancy had been sharing the Gospel with her for a while now. One day, as the young woman was confiding in Nancy about how worried she was and how her relatives wanted to marry her off, Nancy offered: "I'll pray for you." The young woman seemed indifferent at first. But when Nancy actually took her hands in hers, looked her in the eye and told her, "Let's do it NOW", she gladly said yes.

Nancy told her: "I am going to pray now for you. And I will pray in the name of Jesus."

Then Nancy prayed and the young woman was moved to tears by the prayer. She told Nancy she never heard such heartfelt prayer before!

A few months later, the young Muslim woman ran to Nancy and told her "Your Jesus is real! He is real! I got a job right after you prayed for me, employers started calling me!"

....Hi....Allah is the Muslim translation for God, just as Yahweh is the Jewish term for God,...they both profess to be following the God of Abraham..only difference is the branch off of Ishmael for Muslims and Isaac for Hebrew/Israeli/Jewish.....

The God Of Abraham, Isaac And Jacob

Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God. Isaiah 44:6

Is The LORD God Almighty

For thy Maker is thine husband; the LORD of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called. Isaiah 54:5

And His Name Is Mine

Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts. Jeremiah 15:16

>>>>>()<<<<<

Seek Him

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.

And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:11-13

Seek

And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call. Joel 2:32

And Be Blessed Beloved

Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. Isaiah 1:18

Love, Joe

>>>>>()<<<<<

Why do the nations gather together?

Why do their people devise useless plots?

Kings take their stands.

Rulers make plans together against the LORD and against his Messiah by saying,

"Let's break apart their chains and shake off their ropes."

The one enthroned in heaven laughs.

The Lord makes fun of them.

Then he speaks to them in his anger.

In his burning anger he terrifies them by saying,

"I have installed my own king on Zion, my holy mountain."

I will announce the LORD's decree.

He said to me: "You are my Son.

Today I have become your Father.

Ask me, and I will give you the nations as your inheritance and the ends of the earth as your own possession.

You will break them with an iron scepter.

You will smash them to pieces like pottery."

Now, you kings, act wisely.

Be warned, you rulers of the earth!

Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

Kiss the Son, or he will become angry and you will die on your way because his anger will burst into flames.

Blessed is everyone who takes refuge in him. Psalms 2 (GOD'S WORD ® Translation)

Books are ideas put on paper. People read those ideas, believe them, and literally, decide their fate.

the ideas are there if they are on paper or not.

And frankly, I see nothing wrong with trying to stop the message of the enemy.

because stopping the message of the enemy does not bring one to Christ, only spreading the message of Christ can do that.

There is an example in the Bible of people who got saved and then burned their wicked books.

"And many of those who practiced magic brought their books together and began burning them in the sight of everyone; and they counted up the price of them and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver." (Acts 19:19)

So I think it's totally biblical to destroy the message as well...

Ishmael's Kids

Gentiles One And All

God promised Abraham, "And as for Ishmael, I have heard you. Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly. He shall beget twelve princes, and I will make him a great nation" (Genesis 17:20).

Ishmael's initial descendants are recorded for us in the Bible: "Now this is the genealogy of Ishmael, Abraham's son, whom Hagar the Egyptian, Sarah's maidservant, bore to Abraham. And these were the names of the sons of Ishmael, by their names, according to their generations: The firstborn of Ishmael, Nebajoth; then Kedar, Adbeel, Mibsam, Mishma, Dumah, Massa, Hadar, Tema, Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah. These were the sons of Ishmael and these were their names, by their towns and their settlements, twelve princes according to their nations" (Genesis 25:12-16).

Should the Jewish Talmud also be burned? It also denies that Christ is the Messiah. Doesn't that mean that the Talmud is also promoting a false religion? By reasoning on this thread by a couple of people, burning literature used by a false religion is perfectly acceptable because they are worshiping a false God. How far do you want to carry this scenario?

If someone wants to burn the Talmud, I suppose they will do so with or without our permission? :noidea: There is a difference in the Talmud and the Qu'ran. The Talmud is based on worship of Jehovah, but based on the Old Testament. The Qu'ran is based on the worship of a false god named Alah. The Talmud isn't teaching people to kill those of other religions they don't agree with. We are not being attacked by Jewish extremists going about performing suicide bombings. I would not burn the Talmud because there is some value in it, with regard to understanding Jewish customs, and giving insight into the law of Moses. I would destroy the Qu'ran because it is a book that insights our enemies to attack us, and has no redeeming value.

Hi....Allah is the Muslim translation for God, just as Yahweh is the Jewish term for God,...they both profess to be following the God of Abraham..only difference is the branch off of Ishmael for Muslims and Isaac for Hebrew/Israeli/Jewish...now to profess burning the Muslim holy book, is what I consider to be an act of total depravation, and cast total negativity on Chrisitanity (as if there are not enough negatives already)..and such a terrible reaction is no way to win converts..the Muslims are still living through the crusades centuries ago, and now the aggression of the US military invading and killing them. I think on that basis they are being really restrained in their actions.. This church in Florida is totally out of line, and not acting in a Christian manner with this talk..besides..who really committed the 9/11 attacks...sure was not organized and planned by Muslims...look at the facts, and quit blaiming the wrong people! God bless us all

Oh yes they were muslims, maybe muslim extremist but muslims just the same.

Where to begin? First to clarify about allah.

Some reasons why the allah of islam isnt the God of the bible.

1) Christians believe that God is spirit.

John 4:24 God is a spirit, and they who worship Him must worship in spirit and in truth.

Islam says God isnt spirit.

2) Our Lord is transcendent and immanent.

While both Christians and muslims believe in the transcendence of God, muslims believe He does not interact at all with mankind. We believe God is intimately involved in our lives (immanence).

3) We believe God reveals Himself, not just His law.

Islam believes that allah's will is manifested, but not allah himself. Our Lord reveals Himself all throughout the bible.

4) The Trinity.

God is God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Islam proclaims allah has no son.

5) Our Lord loves us while we sinners.

For God so loved the world, He gave His only begotten Son. While we were yet sinners, He reached out to us in love. Yet for muslims, allah loves no sinner.

6) Our Lord does not want anyone to perish.

2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slow concerning His promise, as some count slowness, but is long-suffering toward us, not purposing that any of us should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Islam says allah desires to punish people.

7) How God regards the Jews.

The Jews are Gods people. The bible tells us this. Allah of islam hates the Jews.

8) Our Lord is unchanging.

Islam believes in the doctrine of abrogation, where allah can change his mind at whim. Our Lord is unchanging.

9) Forgiveness.

We are forgiven on the basis of the atoning work of Jesus. His sacrifice (and our acceptance of Jesus) means we are forgiven and reconciled with the Lord. In islam, forgiveness by allah is based on the whim of allah. You have no way of knowing if you are forgiven or not. The only reasonably sure thing is death by martyrdom.

Allah of islam is NOT the God of Abraham, not the Lord we believe in. Islam is not an offshoot of Christianity. It is a perversion of worship of the true Lord.

When Christians in the bible burned books, it was their false books and done as a rejection of their former unsaved lives. It was never done to thumb their nose to others as this burn a quran day is about. It was never intended to be an in your face insult as burn a quran day is.

Matthew 28

18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, All authority is given to Me in Heaven and in earth.

19 Therefore go and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

20 teaching them to observe all things, whatever I commanded you. And, behold, I am with you all the days until the end of the world. Amen.

The Great Commission. Jesus never said first tear down their religions and make them hate you before you speak of the gospel. He told them to go and spread the gospel. That is the best way to ever "burn a quran". Render the quran meaningless through spreading the gospel and winning over the muslim soul. Until they are saved, they will just go buy another quran or find it free online and continue to hate Christians and reject Jesus as Lord and Savior.

Hi....Allah is the Muslim translation for God

No; 'allah' is a synonym for satan.

the Muslims are still living through the crusades centuries ago, and now the aggression of the US military invading and killing them.

Where the heck have you been? WE were attacked first. If they didn't want to be invaded and eliminated they shouldn't have attacked our country.

I think on that basis they are being really restrained in their actions.

I think you are suffering under a strong delusion. Restrained, indeed.

This church in Florida is totally out of line, and not acting in a Christian manner with this talk..besides..who really committed the 9/11 attacks...sure was not organized and planned by Muslims...look at the facts, and quit blaiming the wrong people!

Oh, let me guess....it was George Bush, right? Let's not get tripped up by facts here.....like Bin Laden admitting he planned and had those attacks carried out. We've got the right people and God has their number as well. Are you a muslim?

Hi....Allah is the Muslim translation for God, just as Yahweh is the Jewish term for God,

First, I hope you read what Ayin Jade said about this. Who and what they claim "God" to be is not who and what the Bible claims God to be.

The Koran says that "God has no son." So how can you say they worship the same God as us?

Is "Allah" the Heavenly Father?

...they both profess to be following the God of Abraham..only difference is the branch off of Ishmael for Muslims and Isaac for Hebrew/Israeli/Jewish...

That's not true, either. Ishmael was not a follower of the Allah Muhammad proclaimed.

In the Bible when the sons of Jacob sold Joseph into slavery, at one point they are called "Ishmaelites" and at another point they are called "Midianites". From this we can see that the two groups are one and the same.

Moses' father-in-law was a Midianite priest. Don't you think Moses learned about God from his father-in-law those forty years? (Something to think about.)

<snip> ..the Muslims are still living through the crusades centuries ago, and now the aggression of the US military invading and killing them. I think on that basis they are being really restrained in their actions..

You speak as if you are either living in a Muslim community or interact a lot with them. ???

<snip> ..besides..who really committed the 9/11 attacks...sure was not organized and planned by Muslims...look at the facts, and quit blaiming the wrong people! God bless us all

Osama bin Laden is not Muslim? The hijackers were not Muslim?

Huh? Where are you getting this?

"Allah" translates as "God". A Christian speaking in Arabic would also use the word "Allah" whenever they would say "God" in English.

I'm fully aware of the translation. 'Allah' is NOT the same God we worship.

So now because a radical Islamic group attacked the U.S. we should eliminate all Muslims?

Who said that?

He that lives by the sword shall perish by the sword. Do not be quick to anger, nor strive to do more violence than what is absolutely necessary. Cornergas has a point, many Muslims see the current invasion as a continuation of the past crusades, which were started by us.

The Crusades were started by the king of France. What do you mean 'us'? That was a thousand years ago.

And, IMHO, that which started Islams violent nature.

So Christians are at fault for muslims violent, barbaric behavior? Three words for you. Read the Qu'ran.

Most Muslims want to live in peace, you can't condemn nearly 1/5 of the entire population to death based on a radical movement.

Who said THAT? Don't make up your own reality here.

The highest moral authority in Islam, the Islamic Research Council at al Ashar University, has condemned Bin Laden and his jihad (which is not a jihad in their eyes).

There IS no moral authority in islam.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
