Rock stars like Britney Spears, Madonna and so many others seem to have success with everything they do. They are famous not only for their music, but have been given almost a super ability to perform on stage. Their success goes beyond their music, into movies, into doing commercials, etc and they keep raking in the dough. No matter what they pursue they seem to succeed with it and the way they live their lives, perform on stage, the songs they sing, etc. are all completely sinful, representing Satan himself through all of this. They never seem to fall ill for their sins.

Why are rock stars so successful in these ways? Is Satan himself the one who gives them these abilities? Are they as successful as they are because they have made a deal with the devil himself?...

Not true Britney just blew out her Knee dancing and has been put on the shelf for a few months, also she has gained a tad bit of weight which will make her skimpy outfits a tad bit less attractive on her

They're so successful because they KNOW what the world focuses on- sexual immorality, indecency, power, etc. How many times has Britney or Madonna made themself over to please the worldly audience? It's greed. And it's very sad. You've got the blind leading the blind here- especially with them two. Madonna is into Kabbalah (I'm sure I spelled that all wrong ) and since the 2 have become friends, she has introduced that to Britney. They are both sooo lost- along with almost all other famous people! I don't necessarily think that they have formally made a deal with the devil, but in a roundabout way, they have- the Bible says to not be of this world! You can't serve 2 masters! And the sad thing is, they have so much sway on society...

We need to pray for a revival in Hollywood!!!!!

I agree. I have to point out that they are only successful by the world's standards. By God's standards one could say they are failures. They just don't know how much they need Jesus. It's a shame. Hey! Let's all here at worthy take a vacation to hollywood and make it a missions trip! Somebody has to tell them!

They are successful because there are many ignorant people out there who listen to the stupid media saying how good they are. They see there sexy clothing and what not and are drawn in. It has nothing to do with satan, it's people's' stupidity.

Bands like Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Nine Inch Nails are all famous because they're music is GOOD. Even if they are against the christian religion they still have music that they thought up in their own head which also had nothing to do with satan.

You might ask why Christian rock isn't played on radio stations. It's because every single song is about the same thing. It's boring. Period.

When put in the perspective of eternity their success, money, fame, sex appeal is all fleeting just a moment in time really. I know for some of us who wouldn't mind even a 1/16 of their money its hard to see them raking in more and more and giving less. But looks fade, money disappears and so do the hangers on, always waiting to ride the coat tails of the next big 'Star'. Its not a very fulfilling life, its shallow and unfortunately so are they. The competition to stay on top, always one upping the next guy to stay in the media, even if the press is bad their names are still out there. I would not want the media dogging me 24/7 trying to get that shot that no one else has. Some wear disguises to go out they don't have a private life and if they don't get a story they make it up. What a life! They can have it! Heaven is where we are going to shine and that is enough for me!

How in any way does Nirvana, Bob Marley, Smashing Pumpkins, The Beetles, sell sex? Yes in a way they told the american public what they wanted to hear.....good music, but they did not sell sex. I chose those bands becuase two of them are happy bands and two of them are sad bands. Why would anyone WANT to hear sad music unless it's brilliant?

How do christian bands not play what Christians want to hear?

And I'll state it again, the reason Christian bands aren't successful is because every song is about the same thing. God.
