Steven I'll pray to God and ask for him to send someone to lay hands on you. Scriptures are commanding us as disciples to do things and we call to God to do it for us. God's spirit works thru us. Want to understand more about spirituality. http://www.awmi.net/extra/audio/1057 I guess it's true that believers don't usually let scriptures get in the way of what they believe. Even when it's staring them in the face.

John 14

12 "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.

All believers will do the same works that Jesus did; it's not limited to ministers. There's just a shortage of believing believers.

Matthew 17

20 So Jesus said to them, "Because of your unbelief;[a] for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.

Mark 16

14 Later He appeared to the eleven as they sat at the table; and He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He had risen. 15 And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they[b] will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover."

When we are taken over by an agenda so strongly that the whole council of God is ignored we will be off balance and in danger of falling. Thank you for your concern .... but I am a person for whom Christ died and have opened my heart unto Him as Lord not a theological agenda to prove points of I'm right and your wrong!

For you see I believe we are a people brought unto this glory as unto The Son in these last days for a purpose... and that we should not desire a sign in order to believe but on His Word alone, through faith, as spoken of here

James 5:9-11

9 Do not grumble against one another, brethren, lest you be condemned. Behold, the Judge is standing at the door! 10 My brethren, take the prophets, who spoke in the name of the Lord, as an example of suffering and patience. 11 Indeed we count them blessed who endure. You have heard of the perseverance of Job and seen the end intended by the Lord that the Lord is very compassionate and merciful.

NKJV

For I have given my wedding vows already to my Lord that in sickness and in health, for richer or poorer, through every Word (unto which He has given me) to search out every place it is rightly divided so as to know Him ( that I may be able to please Him) until death (NO) but Life for I am then brought into an eternal unity of purity and Holiness for eternity with Him who holds all my Love.... Love Steven

Beautiful post steven. Im sorry about your cancer and will pray for you. Remember this part of psalm 23

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

No matter what trials you are undergoing, He is there. In Him alone will you have refuge. In the end, whether it is sooner or later, there will be ultimate joy in His presence.

Reflected from His Word shining into my heart.... thank you loved one Steven

This was not meant to be a prayer request but to show our loved one that to press the point from either side is to harm those who stand in the place that God has the right to do as His blessed and perfect Will pleases.... The prayer of The Son was for unity Jn 17 right before He gave the entirety of Himself for me.... for unity in Love. Sorry believer112 for the disruption to your thread!

Love Steven

If you don't have my album entitled The Believer's Authority, you need to get it. The message will not only affect the way you receive and minister healing, but it will change the entire way you relate to God. It's a powerful teaching.

How much?

It's Andrew Wommack and all his stuff is free. http://www.awmi.net/extra/audio/1017

Andrew Wommack is not someone I would suggest anyone follow. His WOFer beliefs destroy the faith of those who follow his teachings when they are not healed by speaking to the problem, as if people have the power to heal themselves. He has also twisted scripture many times with his false teachings. The problem with Andrew is that he falls under the radar until someone comes in here announcing that he is a great teacher. He does not have the clout that the oother WOF preachers have, so he goes unnoticed.

Onelight,

You can look at an u tube video or hear someone make a comment about a teacher and base your decision on somebody? You won't even look at the evidence for your self http://www.awmi.net/extra/audio/1057. That tells me a lot about you and I question your ability to minister other Christians such as myself. Pharisee of Pharisee. You know God loves you and I love you even though you bare false witness. I was studying John in this forum and came to chapter four and I saw it was your post. I didn't want to read it because knowing that you are narrow minded. I read your teaching anyway just to prove that things can be taken out of context.oh, by the way are you a false teacher? I quote " Throughout the Gospels, we will see Jesus making this claim. We can also read that living by faith, not signs and wonders, is what we are called to do, which is the point Jesus was trying to make."

Acts 14:2-4 (New Living Translation)

2 Some of the Jews, however, spurned God's message and poisoned the minds of the Gentiles against Paul and Barnabas. 3 But the apostles stayed there a long time, preaching boldly about the grace of the Lord. And the Lord proved their message was true by giving them power to do miraculous signs and wonders. 4 But the people of the town were divided in their opinion about them. Some sided with the Jews, and some with the apostles.

I can see that your interpretation of scripture is in err.(edit) I read your teaching and understand what your message said in context!. Anything can be taken out of context if you don't hear the whole story. Watch the different news organizations lately?

what is God telling us to do in Faith. I challenge you to study faith and God's commands. Onelight, reading your posts I sense doubt and unbelief or excuses why we can't do it today.

1 Corinthians 14:1 Pursue love! However, keep on eagerly seeking the things of the Spirit; and especially seek to be able to prophesy.

I have noticed that the Lord operates in our lives in love, If our Pursuit is love, and because of our love we pursue the things of the Spirit, We grow in intimacy. I love spiritual gifts, and I love being used by God in them, but I have noticed that it is based on our love and intimacy with our Messiah, and our love for each other.

To each is given different gifts, Not everyone will receive the same gifts, the gift of healing is a gift not everyone would receive. It is a gift that I long for, though I have seen people healed with prayer, not everyone is healed, I would love just to be around this gift and see someone operating it. I have watched documentaries, Jason Westerfield, Heidi Baker, ect. where such gifts are in operation and I'm always left with a longing for more of Gods Spirit.

1 Corinthians 14:8-11

8 To one, through the Spirit, is given a word of wisdom; to another, a word of knowledge, in accordance with the same Spirit; 9 to another, faith, by the same Spirit; and to another, gifts of healing, by the one Spirit; 10 to another, the working of miracles; to another, prophecy; to another, the ability to judge between spirits; to another, the ability to speak in different kinds of tongues; and to yet another, the ability to interpret tongues. 11 One and the same Spirit is at work in all these things, distributing to each person as he chooses.

All these gifts operate out of love, through the power of the Holy Spirit. We are all individual parts of the same body. But not everyone is the same part.

1 Corinthians 12:14 For indeed the body is not one part but many. 15 If the foot says, "I'm not a hand, so I'm not part of the body," that doesn't make it stop being part of the body. 16 And if the ear says, "I'm not an eye, so I'm not part of the body," that doesn't make it stop being part of the body.

1 Corinthians 12:27-30

27 Now you together constitute the body of the Messiah, and individually you are parts of it. 28 And God has placed in the Messianic Community first, emissaries; second, prophets; third, teachers; then those who work miracles; then those with gifts of healing; those with ability to help; those skilled in administration; and those who speak in various tongues. 29 Not all are emissaries, are they? Not all are prophets, are they? or teachers? or miracle-workers? 30 Not all have gifts of healing, not all speak in tongues, not all interpret, do they? 31 Eagerly seek the better gifts. But now I will show you the best way of all.

We should strive for Spiritual gifts, we should always zealously seek the things of God, more than the things of this world, and I agree that the American church culture has limited themselves from being used, the passion and desire has been dying out. That is because we make a religion what God made a relationship.

I can say the deeper I get in love and intimacy with the Lord the more I see His power operate,Gods Spirit today is in full power, but I have noticed many times our devotion to Him is not. I personally desire and long for all spiritual gifts, but that is because they are of my precious Savior. Let all things be done for edification.

1 Corinthians 12:31 Eagerly seek the better gifts. But now I will show you the best way of all.

1 Corinthians 13:1-7 I may speak in the tongues of men, even angels; but if I lack love, I have become merely blaring brass or a cymbal clanging. 2 I may have the gift of prophecy, I may fathom all mysteries, know all things, have all faith - enough to move mountains; but if I lack love, I am nothing. 3 I may give away everything that I own, I may even hand over my body to be burned; but if I lack love, I gain nothing. 4 Love is patient and kind, not jealous, not boastful, 5 not proud, rude or selfish, not easily angered, and it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not gloat over other people's sins but takes its delight in the truth. 7 Love always bears up, always trusts, always hopes, always endures.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
