I feel we are insecure in our beliefs about God. Here is another excuse why we shouldn't step out in faith as the bible commanded. Quote " His WOFer beliefs destroy the faith of those who follow his teachings when they are not healed by speaking to the problem." If it destroys the faith was there faith to begin with? I believe ALL the scriptures are the word of God. I'm not going to try to out think God why he healed someone or not. It's not my place to question God or make excuses for God. He just commanded me, and I'm going to be a good little troop and follow his commands! To the best of my ability for the Glory of GOD!

It took me awhile to battle satan and the thoughts, to just go up to someone and ask them if I can pray for them. I found the truth is: if I wasn't so self centered and worried about myself I would have done it the first day. (satan says; what if it don't work what will they think of me, I'm embarrassed, who am I to pray for a stranger. It took weeks of study and renewing my mind to see that God wants us to do it.

Joshua-777 spoke the truth about Love. Love is the key! If we loved others more than ourselves the things of God won't be hard to do. It would not be hard to step out in faith and pray for someone.God is love! If we can't forgive and love all than how can we walk with God? Amos 3:3 Can two walk together, unless they are agreed? You have to crucify your flesh or our carnal self (see, taste, feel hear, smell) for others as Jesus did.

I believe everything I pray for is given to me in the spiritual realm. When it manifests into the physical Praise God, if it doesn't I'll know in the end why. God Bless all.

This is true. At least it is for me. As much as I believe, there's still that tiny inkling of doubt. "What if it doesn't work?"

When Peter started sinking as he was walking on the water, the first thing Jesus said was, "Why did you doubt?"

Doubt plays a major role in what we can and cannot accomplish. The Lord has answered many of my prayers and He has shown me time and time again that He is with me, but I just can't seem to be able to shake that feeling. I don't believe the Lord holds things like that against us. If He did, He would have left me long ago.

Onelight,

You can look at an u tube video or hear someone make a comment about a teacher and base your decision on somebody? You won't even look at the evidence for your self http://www.awmi.net/extra/audio/1057. That tells me a lot about you and I question your ability to minister other Christians such as myself. Pharisee of Pharisee. You know God loves you and I love you even though you bare false witness. I was studying John in this forum and came to chapter four and I saw it was your post. I didn't want to read it because knowing that you are narrow minded. I read your teaching anyway just to prove that things can be taken out of context.oh, by the way are you a false teacher? I quote " Throughout the Gospels, we will see Jesus making this claim. We can also read that living by faith, not signs and wonders, is what we are called to do, which is the point Jesus was trying to make."

Acts 14:2-4 (New Living Translation)

2 Some of the Jews, however, spurned God's message and poisoned the minds of the Gentiles against Paul and Barnabas. 3 But the apostles stayed there a long time, preaching boldly about the grace of the Lord. And the Lord proved their message was true by giving them power to do miraculous signs and wonders. 4 But the people of the town were divided in their opinion about them. Some sided with the Jews, and some with the apostles.

I can see that your interpretation of scripture is in err.Now you are classified a false teacher. I read your teaching and understand what your message said in context!. Anything can be taken out of context if you don't hear the whole story. Watch the different news organizations lately?

what is God telling us to do in Faith. I challenge you to study faith and God's commands. Onelight, reading your posts I sense doubt and unbelief or excuses why we can't do it today.

I have told you many time through the PMs we have had that I have been over Andrew Wommack's teaching many times. When I was part of this ministry, it was a responsibility of mine to be familiar with the teachings people would bring in, so yes, I am very familiar. You fail to accept this because I showed you one clip in his teachings. Too bad that you refuse to heed a warning about a false teacher. As for my teachings and understanding of scripture, I will let my bothers and sisters speak of that. Have you asked any of them? Have you asked others what they thought of Andrew Wommacks teachings, or do you just come here and assume that everyone likes him because they do not refute him in public?

We are to live by faith in Christ and not by signs and wonders. Just because the Apostles were able to preform them does not mean we are to live by them. You are confused. SHow me where Jesus tells us to live by signs and wonders.

Matthew 17

19 Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, “Why could we not cast it out?”

20 So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.

:noidea:

Where in these verses does it say we have the gifts that the Apostles had?

We are never told that when we pray that we will see the results. We are to plant the seed and another will water, but God will give the increase. Have faith that He will do His part when we do ours.

I apologize if my passion sounds like grumbling. I feel that the Christians in the US are not using the the GOD given gifts provided by Jesus at the cross. I see documentaries and Christian shows of the power of God ( deaf ears opened, blind eyes opened, raising of the dead) in places like China, Africa. and other countries. It seems in America we are spiritually dead. Our spirituality goes as far as church and this forum. How many of us step out in faith on the streets and prayed healing over someone? Satan deceives us into thinking that the powers are for apostles, that it takes a particular gift. If you were to walk down the street and pray for some one to be healed and God healed that person wouldn't he be more responsive to hear the Gospel? Isn't that how the multitudes came to Jesus.

We have to open our spiritual eyes and step out of our religious box. Hear some good faith teachings! The word faith is through out the bible all we have to do is step out.

2 Kings 6:15-17 (New King James Version)

15 And when the servant of the man of God arose early and went out, there was an army, surrounding the city with horses and chariots. And his servant said to him, “Alas, my master! What shall we do?”

16 So he answered, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” 17 And Elisha prayed, and said, “LORD, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” Then the LORD opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.

Feel free to go into the hospitals in your area (I assume they have not yet been emptied by your constant prayers there). When they are all healed, get back to us and let us know.

Back up your claims with some action. I eagerly await the news reports that the hospitals in your area are no longer needed.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
