Heavenly Language

Hi,

Before the the Tower of Babel the world spoke one language. What do you think that language is or was? Whatever that language is or was came from Adam in which Adam learned from God. Linguist say that Chaldean Hebrew is the oldest known language. Could Hebrew be the language that Adam learned from God? Do you think that Hebrew will be our heavenly language?

Just food for thought.

Hebrew is a beautiful language. I would have to say Hebrew!!

I think hebrew was created along with all the other languages.

There might be a way to know how this first language was and that's by studying the really old ruins in the world that belong to the pre-flood time like those submerged in the shores of Cuba or Japan.

If the written signs from the 2 of them match, then it would mean that's the true original language.

Hebrew sounds Heavenly i think its the most beautiful Language in all the world. Adam and eve had to speack something and i would think that, that something was Hebrew hehe

Consider:

1 Corinthians 13:1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

As you rightly say, Adam spoke the language of God and may I suggest that the angels did too. Then at the Tower of Babel, all were of one language, undoubtedly the same language Adam originally spoke, but then God confused the languages.

Today, we have the Holy Spirit IN US and we are able to communicate directly with God once again through the voice of the Holy Spirit.

I would like you also to consider these verses:

Luke 8:18 Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he seemeth to have.

To "hear" a familiar language, such as English, Chinese, Russian or Spanish, we HEAR them with our PHYSICAL EARS. The Lord is here saying that we should be listening with our SPIRITUAL EARS, so let's go on:

Acts 2:6-8 Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language. 7 And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans? 8 And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?

No place in these verse does it say that the disciples were speaking foreign languages, ONLY that the HEARERS "HEARD" in their own language. I believe this is the language of angels and of God, when the POWER of the Word is understood by all regardless of their own language. Many there were "listening with their SPIRITUAL EARS". But also there were many who were not. Some just thought they were drunk and babbling, meaning it didn't make any sense to them - BECAUSE THEY WERE LISTENING WITH THEIR PHYSICAL EARS.

I believe your thinking to literal. You can only express so much with sound. (words) I believe that the heavenly language would be somthing like telepathic. Where you dont have to explain your self, people just know. Besides...you cant have one language that is more beautiful then all the others because that kind of oppinion comes from within, and everyone's is different.

There will be Hebrew classes in Heaven/New Heaven and Earth and each citizen will undergo an intensive 'Ulpan Course' to help them with basic Hebrew...but it will take time and thwart many peoples plans to speak to 'this saint' and 'that saint' about what great adventures their life consisted of because Moses and Enoch and Deborah et alia will all be speaking biblical Hebrew...but you might get away with a bit of Ugarit,Greek,Chaldee,and Aramaic with some.
