Cats. you and all in Florida are in my prayers throughout this storm. I once lived in Florida, myself. Never through a direct hit from a hurricane, but many tropical depressions and tropical storms..........Hold on to our Lord to see you through this trying time................

Ya'll, I'm under the authority of my husband. This is really hard. It's expected to be a much worse storm...and far more deadly this time. People are paniced. Crowds are buying every morsel of bottled water, non-perishable foods and Home Depot has been open 24/7 selling the ply wood.

It's officially configured for Daytona Beach area (from Melbourne to Daytona area most likely).

It's picking up speed and they're "predicting" WE in Orlando will be hit with a possible 4 or 5 Category hurricane.

We got a "2" last time and it looks like an aboslute warzone. Punta Gorda has a Catgegory 4 and even the 3 hospitals were destroyed. That's how serious a "4" is.

This may be a 4 or a 5.

My husband says we're staying with the home no matter what the danger. We're holding our ground. He's not a strong Christian either. He's just bull-headed.

I don't have a rock-solid Christian husband with tons of faith. It's just me.

I am really scared. I know how Johasephat (spelling?) must have felt when he saw enemy armies marching against him and he didn't have the manpower to fight them.

I NEED AN ARMY OF PRAYER!

I don't ask God to spare this event only because I believe He is delivering judgement to an area that is so decadant and vile, it's hard to describe.

Between wads of strip joints and liquor stores lining streets to the huge OPEN celebration of Gay Days Parades, sometimes with people who - well, it's super gross (I can't repeat what you see ON TELEVISION during this display because people are not really dressed much, (or at all)...We're so much like a Sodom I'm afraid we are getting punished.

Please pray for the believers here. Please pray that God spare the believers and the sick and elderly who are unable to fend for themselves. Please pray for the animals who are utterly helpless.

Also, please pray for those who are here to help us. Please pray for the Salvation Army, the Red Cross and Operation Blessing (700 Club) that they will be safe and able to minister to us after this nightmare.

Please, please pray.....

Thanks, Angel. I do. I need it badly too. I'm pretty nervous...now I know what's coming and it's like knowing what a spinal tap feels like and knowing you're getting one....not fun.

I know if I trust God as my shield He will guard us but I pray also for His precious, sweet little elderly people who are all alone and afraid. I pray for the poor, dumb cattle who also hurt and can suffer. We've seen them have to shoot horses here because of their open and bleeding wounds.

Killing wildlike because they're suffering and in pain or burying elderly folks who are barely clinging to life as it is makes me grieve and ache inside.

May God have mercy.

A good website to really find out what is going on without the media hystera is the National Hurricane Center's site. Type in that on a google search. It has what the forcasters are discussing and what the various models are suggesting. I live in West Palm Beach and this is going to be a doozie. :sweating:

      I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

      For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

      2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices. 

      So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

      Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end. 
      Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house. 

      Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

      As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

      Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
      Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

      So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
