The Most Hated People on Earth

Saturday, 03 September 2011 09:00

Written by Ron Cantor

Who are the most hated people on earth? The Christians? The Jews? White Anglo Saxon men? African Americans? Homosexuals? The KKK? The truth is that the most hated people on the face of the earth are the Messianic Jews! We are hated by just about every group out there, from the Klan to Iran. Why? Just think about it:

  • We are Jews—the most hated ethnic group in history.
  • We are Believers in Yeshua—It seems that today anyone who believes in the bible and the principles therein are bigots and haters.
  • The non-Messianic Jewish Community is poisoned against us teaching their children that we want to destroy Judaism.
  • Much of the Christian Community sees us as Judaizers (Gal. 3), trying to bring believers under the Law (which we aren't).
  • And even many Christian leaders who believe that we are legitimate distance themselves from the Messianic community because of not wanting to offend other Jewish people.

So one can imagine why a Messianic Jew might be happier blending into the larger Christian world, rather than boldly identifying himself as a Jewish believer. Some Messianic Jews go the other way, distancing themselves from the Church world completely—and in some occasions, even denying Yeshua in the end—because of the pressures from both the Jewish and Christian communities.

Absolutely true! Messianics of all walks get a terrible rap in general whether they are Jewish by birth or believed to be grafted into Israel and want to keep His feasts and Torah. Just think how those of us who say the Sabbath is for all today and that we keep the Feasts get treated all over forums, imagine a Jewish person who comes to faith in Yeshua, they are shunned by their families and friends, they are treated badly by mainstream christianity for even thinking Torah, Gods commandments are to be followed still. The Messianic Jew is what we saw in the first century church with a spattering of gentiles who joined themselves to them and kept the Sabbath and Feasts. Its a hard road to follow, I know many Messianic Jews who feel very unloved by what is supposed to be their brethren. And when they call us gentiles Israel or Ephraim because they know scriptures indicate Ephraim is to come back and rejoin them they are laughed at and ridiculed just as those of us who do also see things that way. I pray He comes again soon!

There is nothing new under the sun~

The messianic jew was hated and persecuted by other Jews in the first century....and then completely ostracised and rejected by the so-called "church" in the early centuries

This is how the Body of Messiah lost it's Jewish heritage and became a greek religious organization. Change began in 1967 and is slowly emerging...but there is always room for a broader and quicker acceptance of the Remnant of Israel from the christian community.

I agree with your historical assessment of this issue. However despite Christ moving with other people there has always been a remnant of God people Jews and Gentiles all over this world. So says His word so I know it is for sure the truth. One of the prophets, I don't recall which one right now, said long ago that he was the only follower of God left and he was begging for God to kill him. God told him he was wrong and that there was a remnant in Jerusalem along numbering 1000 that had never worshiped an idol. If there were 1000 people in one place that long ago how many more were there in other places? God has always had His people scattered all over the world, like salt, flavoring life for all the lost souls that wander through this world.

Agreed, but I didn't propose otherwise in the first place so I'm not why that is relevant? I don't assume that there weren't saved jews or gentiles in the earth at any time.

All I said was that the actual and legitimate remnant of Israel was "cleansed" out of the so-called "church" in the early centuries. The "church" has been practically juden-frei since the Nicean Creed because it was mostly so by the 3rd-4th centuries already. I can only find 2 or 3 of the so-called "early church fathers" who were not virulently anti-semetic. This, though the one commandment Yeshua proposed was "love one another as I have loved you".

And we wonder why there are so many denominations and errors today???

This may be true today, "The truth is that the most hated people on the face of the earth are the Messianic Jews! ", however, in time all of us who stand up for Jesus, will be taking their place on that most hated list.

This would mean that by then Gentile Christians stopped persecuting the Messianic Jews.

I largely agree with Ron Cantors assessment of things although I believe he runs shy of a significant factor in all this.

Messianic Judaism is a new phenomenon within the body of Messiah, at least in the way it has gradually emerged since the end of the war, the holocaust and the rebirth of the State of Israel.

As Gentile Believers we are often a suspicious cautious lot especially when it comes to embracing new things in our own communities let alone a totally new and unknown movement within our own ranks, that has significant differences and specific emphases that are far removed from what many Gentile Believers are familiar with. As Messianic Judaism has gathered pace, the mistrust and uncertainty within the Gentile Body has dissipated to some degree, but the fact is that as Messianic communities and teachings have spread there have been some rather whacky elements emerging, with some very strange ideas. Unfortunately these have been focused on and given headline treatment with the Christian media...therefore it is my belief and to some degree experience, that this is another reason why the Messianic community is not embraced as a whole....there are serious legitimate doubts by many that are reluctant to do much more than stick a toe in the water....no one quite knows exactly what the flavour of Messianic Judiasm is meant to taste like.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
