Is the Great Tribulation the same as Gods Wrath?

I've never seen a scripture supporting this and I don't believe it.

Does Rev. 6:16,17 not explain this?

The context of these verses are that its men who are saying these things and not that the wrath of God has come yet. These earthly kings see destruction happening, they see the falling of the economy, the way of life they so love, the see God's judgments coming and want to be hidden from it, not that the great trib nor the wrath has come yet. We have been in constant tribulations since Messiah rose to the heavenly throne room, and we are told over and over again many things must happen and then the 'great tribulation' will come and with it it refines Gods chosen, then when Gods chosen are then protected from His wrath, the bowl judgements will occur on those not sealed each one of those going through the bowl judgments will have one final chance to choose life or death.

Yes, but is the Wrath of God not going to be poured out during the 'time' of the Tribulation?

The Tribulation period starts with the Rapture and the Holy Spirit no longer sealing the elect. Life at that point ceases to be as good as it is currently indicating the Wrath of God is being poured out. The Restrainer is limited allowing the release of all evil and God's anger on those who chose not to accept Jesus Christ.

I do not hold to a pretrib rapture of anykind, not saying you or anyone else has to agree with that. As I said we have been in a tribulation since Adam was kicked out of the garden, the great tribulation spoken of is not the wrath of God, the bowl judgments are His wrath. During the great trib we all will be here, this is the time of Gods refinement of His bride, casting off those who are lukewarm, those who truly have not given themselves fully over to His will. But to think that we all are going to escape this great tribulation is not in scripture, no matter how many times someone can turn and use scriptures to find some escape avenue. Just as God lifted up Noah, or how God kept those safe in Goshen as the angel of death passed over, God will protect us during the time the angels are pouring out the judgments on those who have not bowed to Him.

I agree mizzdy. I believe we are here & protected during the wrath because after the 6th vial/bowl is poured out, we see in Rev 16:15, " Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame." This indicates to me that the saints are still here. I believe we are protected by being "in Christ"

How can we be protected if the Restrainer is gone? Would our Lord leave us without the Holy Spirit? No groom would leave his bride at the mercy of his enemy why would Christ?

Are you men better than the Lord or are you women willing to settle for anything less in a groom? I certainly am not. My Bridegroom knows the danger that I face with the Holy Spirit removed and He will come and take me from the harm His enemy would inflict on me.

I know this for an absolute certainty and not a shadow of a doubt.

Is the Great Tribulation the same as Gods Wrath?

I've never seen a scripture supporting this and I don't believe it.

Great Tribulation = Peak of Satans Wrath.

Day of the Lord = God's wrath

Two totally different things; we should never attribute the wickedness of satan to God. God's wrath is agains tall unrighteousness, but satans wrath is agains the saints.

Satans wrath

Revelation 13:6 Then he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, His tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven. 7 It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation.

Gods wrath

Romans 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them.

We are caught up with the Lord when He comes.

Luke 21:27 Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28 Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.”

1 Thessalonians 4:17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.

I think we will go through the tribulation but I think that He will empower us to go through it. I believe during the tribulation the Church is going to walk in the fullness of Christ.

The Spirit resides within us, why would God remove that from us? Where exactly does it say that it is the Holy Spirit that restrains? Yeshua will come for His bride, we will be taken to Him, protected by Him during the wrath that is poured out but we will be here during the great tribulation. By the blood of Yeshua we are saved from Gods wrath.

The Holy Spirit will be at work during the Tribulation but He will not seal anyone during the Tribulation.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
