I'm just waiting for someone, anyone, to come up with the hypothesis that Oklahoma somehow sinned against God and this is His divine judgement. Oh and Christmas Trees, where oh where has that pesky thread gone, oh where, oh where can it be?

On a more serious note, I'm glad everyone is OK .

I'm glad everyone's okay too.

The "Christmas Trees are evil" thread hasn't been started yet that I know of . . . yet . . .

On a more serious note, I'm glad everyone is OK .

Well we do have a lot of cedar and pine trees here. The only thing I can think of that God might be mad at us about would be our abundant casino population. We even still let our kids pray in school here..... though we don't let the teachers lead them in prayer. Like I said in the other thread, it's really something to see 10 to 15 five and six year old kids praying for each other's problems.... and just speaking out as though God was setting across the table from them.... makes me a little teary eyed just to remember.

Please don't get me started on chirstmas trees........ evil things burn down houses here and there every year. People fall off ladders putting up lights and there are whole neighborhoods that are at odds with each other claiming to have the best lights..... people spend money on thigs they don't need and most go into debt to do so....... and to top it all off, Jesus was actually born on September 11th anyway.... I have to go to church on the hanging of the green the week before cause I'm the only one tall enough to reach our left front window to hang up the green stuff that makes me sneeze.

However I do get to see my grandbaby during that time period and that's a good thing, but its' hard for it all to be special for me cause Jesus is in our house all the time...... I find it odd to give everyone but Him a present for his birthday (and on the wrong day). And what do you give someone who already has everything..... He's even already got me. Oh well, I just hope the wife doesn't want the tree up this year..... I do hate that thing....... Is is ok to hate something that dead?

It comes from the book of Luke. We know when Jesus was taken to the temple for that thing that they did 40 days after his birth. There was a woman there that had been praying in the temple all night and the temple is/was only open one night a year. Luke tells us that it was the XX (I'd have to look up the actual number) year of the rule of Tiberius and that puts it in 3BC. Well Josephus put the death of Herod during the year 4BC because of an eclipse and did not consider that there was also an Eclipse in 1BC and the Catholic Church picked the date of 4BC for Herod's death (long story). so people rejected the Bible itself for the date and went along with Josephus instead of Luke.

Anyway that night was a Jewish holiday and when you back up 40 days from that day and look where it was in 3BC it ends up on September 11, 3BC. There is a rather large book I could try and find that goes into a lot of detail if you want me to look it up. Seems like it was about 600 pages long and was rather boring, but informative.

Also when you look in Revelation at the description of the lady in the sky with the stars on her head and things under her feet, it describes the movement of the moon and several stars that only happened on that particular night.

I know that's kind of a sketchy reasoning, but it's been a long time since I looked at any of that stuff and I'm gettin on up there in years you know.
