I wish that the Codex Sinaiticus was completely burned up by the monks of St. Catherine before that "Textus Receptus-hater" found it and the heritics Drs. Hort and Westcott translated it into English.

Is God going to find you on the side of Satan and the greatest attack against the Word of God.

About KJV-Onlyist: I dare anyone to call me a KJV-Onlyist.

What about this statement: Only Throughbreds run in the Kentucky Derby. Does that make me a throughbred-onylist, NO, it is just the truth, only Throughbred run in the Derby, no Quarterhorses, Palominos, or Arabians. I hate the connotations that KJUV-Onlyist has acquired.

Monarch,

As a quick side note, it warms my heart to see a fellow Louisianian on here. I am from the Crowley area.

ok,

Again I am confused.

I don't think I called you a KJV-Onlyist.

I take it your not since you made such a dare.

But then you give the analogy of the Kentucky Derby (they do use quarter horses in the Evangeline Downs if I'm not mistaken ;) ) If only one type of horse is allowed to race, then that race is a "that breed only" race.

Maybe my definition of KJV-Onlyism is skewed. I'm thinking KJV-Onlyist is someone who believes that the KJV is the only true Bible. Hence the term KJV-Onlyism. But then again I'm just a lowly layman who has a Cajun education. I have been horribly wrong before.

I too hate the connotations that KJV-Onlyist have acquired. Both sides do seem to scream at eachother alot. Again in my previous posts I have said many people have come to Christ using many different versions. :noidea: .

I have not read all of the website you have posted. I am planning to read it soon. It does look very interesting.

Your brother in Christ,

L.J.

Wow,

Wish I would have seen this post before I posted before.

I have no clue why someone would call you a KJV-Onlyist. That would be outlandish to say the least lol.

You have self-certified yourself as a KJV-Onlyist in this and other threads. The outrageous statement above simply serves as a typical statement made by a KJV-Onlyist. You're open and extremely obvious about your KJV-Only stance, so additional quotes from this and other threads would be unnecessary.

the numbers are strongs and it's just a click away from seeing how the words are used in other places. Not a good read, but for trying to understans something difficult it's really good.

Congratulations brother. You have now been said to have made an outrageous comment by N'Christ. He said that of me in post #33. So what if you are called KJV-only? I couldn't care less if I wear those kind of labels. I don't have any problem with what you said. I agree with you 100 percent. Keep standing up for the truth. Yes, it can be lonely, but look at people like the Prophet Jeremiah. It was basically him against the entire Jewish remnant. Nobody believed him either, but he was vindicated, and I believe you will be too.

That is interesting. I have one of those Strongs Concordances with the Greek and Hebrew Dictionary, but I can see the convenience of having the Greek and Hebrew words listed with each corresponding English word.

Do you think the comments by those who are not KJV only have been full of love? Go back and read some of those edifying comments where we were called simplistic, patently false, heretical, and part of Gail Riplinger's ilk. Look at the bias. All those things are overlooked, but everytime someone stands up for the KJV only position, they are attacked as lacking love.

Perhaps you really didn't see those comments? I will give you the benefit of the doubt. I never intended to get into this thread, but did after those who are KJV only were attacked as heretical.

I did, and have noticed widespread lack of love in many threads, but to claim only one is right, all else is wrong, in your face kind of attitude, is hard for me. Father in law is JW, and tells all the time nobody is saved unless they join the JW, and I simply cannot believe that either, i don't read that kind of attitude from Jesus in the bible, seek and you will find, that i believe, as it is printed in the bible i currently read, maybe KJV is better, i admit i do not know, as I am reading this thread looking for insight into purchasing a new bible.

God bless,

:P

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
