Joel Osteen Interveiw about Homosexualality

How can Joel Osteen get to such a degree of deception that he believes that a homosexual can go to heaven!??? He said him said that it is sin. Does sin get into heaven...certainly not or God isn't just and holy as the Bible says. I might agree with some of his teachings, but saying that homosexual sin can enter heaven is totally unBiblical.

If he thinks this then he might as well believe in Universalism, which is also 100% wrong and Biblical. Man he needs to rethink his view, God Help him ! Hes teaching that Homosexuals can continue in their sin and not have to repent, Joel Osteen needs some wisdom from the Lord ! May God reach out to him ~In Jesus Name ~

Gee! what makes us think that we Know the mind of God and think that thier SIN is any worse then our sins and Jesus will not Forgive them? Pride! I can hear the child's voice...saying......My sin isn't as bad as their sin, my sin isn't has bad as thier sin, I'm going to Heaven, I'm going to Heaven......

Mat_9:13 But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

Rom_9:15 For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.

Your reading into this further than what it was intended.... Joel Osteen is leading them away from repentance, not towards it... Sin is sin, this we can all agree upon, its the fact that he is turning them away from the teachings of Christ. Sin must be put before the Lord Jesus, If Joel is telling them its okay, continue doing this..... that is wrong ! That is not repentance, that is my point. No sin is held over the other, without Christ you will not enter the Kingdom of God. (which I hope we can also all agree upon)

Osteen is Christian-Lite; I always turn him off when he pops up on t.v. He is just all for the 'feel good' theology (and, btw, he never studied theology).

Agreed! 120%...I do not watch the young Osteen, I used to watch his Dad and I know that He did not approve of, or support any type of sexual sins.

We are just zeroing in on that one sexual sin, yet, Sexual immorality covers ALL, acts...of sexual lust...A Husband can Rape his wife...can lust over her....or those late night visits to the porn sight..

One of Olsteen's problems is that he doesn't feel he can afford to offend anyone because of that massive sports stadium they purchased and remodeled to make it into a church. I am sure they have some massive payments to make and they need the money. His congregation has people who have family members that are either gay, or are Mormons or something else and so he feels that if he offends them, he loses money. For Olsteen, the truth is a liability.

I am not so sure that these mega churches are scriptural, in the first place. I mean, look at the money coming in and then being given to the world. How many Bibles could be printed and given to those who don't have the money to buy a Bible? How many doctors and other health professionals could we subsidise to go overseas and volunteer to provide free health services to poor people in countries where they can't get help? How many missionaries could be sent overseas who don't have the money to go overseas and minister?

We waste Billions of $$$ on buildlings, and pews and other stuff when we could use that money to build the Kingdom and invest in people, not programs. The condemnation will hit the church in the US the hardest. We have the best stuff and more of it. We have squandered far more of it on our petty lusts than we have used to build the Kingdom.

Olsteen has a book entitled "How To Be A Better You." God's purpose is not to make us "better." His purpose, His goal is to conform us into the image of Christ. I don't want to be a better version of me. The answer to success does not reside in me, not even in a better me. The problem comes from me, so the solution cannot come from me. The goal is for me to become less and Christ to become more through me.
