I never said I was a seer, that doesn't have anything to do with distinguishing between different kinds of spirits.

Linehaul, yeah, do you have that gift? Or do you know anyone who can distinguish between different kinds of spirits?

Wasabear,

Capizalization of those letters is English grammer, not Greek grammer.

"Bible" is supposed to be capitalized too, you know.

But as for what you said the bible says, the only testing of spirits reference I recall is found in 1 John, and that is not what it says. Please clarify.

i was gonna refer to 1st john also- it talks about testing the spirits to see if they are of god, i think you do it by asking the spirit if jesus is the christ and god in human form if i'm not mistaken.

1 John 4:1-2 "Beloved do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, weather they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the spirit of God. Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God.

It is not simply saying Jesus Is Lord, but confessing with your mouth the grace and the gift that Christ brought upon us. And believing in your HEART (Romans 10:9-10) I will repeat the same wisdom that was bestowed upon Fez and repeat it. This is not a gift, rather biblical. Discerning of spirits is God given, no one has power within themselves, God brings forth all ! (Isaiah 40:26, 2 Chronicles 20:6) False prophets may speak of "good things" but they are wolves. (Mathew 10) They may come to us in sheep's clothing (Mathew 7:15) the truth is always there, and it will set you free (John 8:32) hold the word of God above men, for the book (Bible) was not sent to us, but for us ! (Mark 7:8-13)

2 Peter 2:1- "But, there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers amoung you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves destruction." Now this verse worries me because let us say for one minute God did give you a gift. Not once have I heard you say it as so. You say it is from God in your origional post but from there it is, I have this Gift, I can do such and such. I do not wish to call you out rather stress a strong point of giving thanks unto the Lord for this is something that we can all work on :) (Psalm 107:1)

If your thinking that I am wrong please look at Mathew 7:21 for this reason your Heart must also be set on God, it cannot be simply saying the words (Mark 7:6-9)

God bless you all !

all respondents please type jesus Is lord

I have a new gift from God, the distinguishing between different kinds of spirits. No one I know has this gift. which is sort of like a curse I feel sometimes because who really actually wants to have awareness of devils and antichrists. not fun. But I suppose it really is for the best for everyone, just like the bible says. My family thinks I am pulling their leg or crazy when I talk about it. It does seem pretty unique/rare. Does anyone here have it? If you do you probably see your family hanging out with antichrists and calling Satan their friend, LOL!!!!!!!!!

Thanks. god bless.

Wasabear, my question is still up in the air and hope you will get around to answering it. You say I have a NEW gift from God. So you have many gifts from God ? If this is so then what other "gifts" do you obtain through the Lord.

God bless you

Many people will become offended by what you say, and it would be smarter to simply know what God shows you, and use it for your own profit.

don't you mean possibly in prayer? cause the gifts are for the building up of the body of Christ........... :emot-bulb:

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
