In short, I think there is. And sadly, I think the most blind are some (but not all) Christians. How else to explain the numbers of our brothers and sisters who throw up their hands and swoon in praise of a man who despises them, the Bible, and the God they claim to serve? We expect this of liberals and the unsaved; they're only giving in to their baser desires. But Christians? I never thought I'd see it.

During these final few weeks of run-up to the elections, I've heard there is intercessory prayer going that God in His mercy would pull off a miracle, and deliver us again. Thing is, I'm not so sure we deserve it. Every time He's pulled our national chestnuts out of the fire, there's been a short time of supposedly turning back to Him, but that time is always brief.

I don't know. It could be He'll use another Obama win--and its attendent darkness--to bring us all to Himself. There really is nothing quite like intense persecution and economic annihilation to get our attention. And it's tough, but I think we've brought a lot of this on ourselves. But who knows? Maybe this will help us all to stop ridiculing and slamming each other, and actually begin living like family. Pretty to think so, anyway.

As another poster here says (and I agree with him), "brace for impact."

John, the issue at hand is deception. Christians don't know who their Christ is. Instead they fear God but serve idols. I encourage people to go back and look at 2 Kings 17. When God was done with the northern kingdom he brought in Assyria and took them all away. Unlike Judah who he left a remnant in the land, he replaced the northern kingdom with a people who knew not the God of the land. He gave them a single priest to teach them. In the end they didn't do very well.

2Ki 17:41 So these nations feared the LORD, and served their graven images, both their children, and their children's children: as did their fathers, so do they unto this day.

I have a post in doctrinal questions regarding the Samaritan woman at the well which ties 2 kings 17 and John 4 together in a prophetic sense to help others understand what the time of Jacobs trouble that is almost upon us really is.

In Jesus Name,

Gary

Some Christians don't have a daily personal relationship with our Father.

I know a few people that are christians, and they tell me that ...they need to get back into praying , and studing.

Christians need to minister more to the lost, for the Lord . Especially with the way the world is so corrupt now a days.

No offense, Friend, but I don't understand how your answer ties in with what I asked. Could you please clarify? Thanks.

I hope not... that Obama gets another 4 years.

More than half of the United states are unemployed. ( that was on the news today)

Agreed, which makes the adoration this man is getting--especially from Christians--so incredible. I mean, he's for government-sanctioned perverted sex; he's for abortion from conception through birth; his economic and foreign policies are horrendous, and people don't seem to care, because he's glib, cute, and has a winning smile.

I could be way off on this, but I think there's something deeper at work here, a deception that goes back as far as time. It's almost as if a darkness has spilled across the land, and there's a bill about to be paid.

My own opinion, of course, but I can't shake the feeling.

Love of Christ to all,

Being a believer we should know that our home is not here.

We are here to show the love of Christ in order to be a light that shines to the LORD in heaven.

Never forget:

Isaiah 66:1

This is what the Lord says:

“Heaven is my throne,

and the earth is my footstool.

Could you build me a temple as good as that?

Could you build me such a resting place?

1 Kings 8:27

But will God really live on earth?

Why, even the highest heavens cannot contain you.

How much less this Temple I have built!

Psalm 14:2

The Lord looks down from heaven

on the entire human race;

he looks to see if anyone is truly wise,

if anyone seeks God.

 Revelation 21:23-25

And the city has no need of sun or moon, for the glory of God illuminates the city, and the Lamb is its light.

The nations will walk in its light, and the kings of the world will enter the city in all their glory.

Its gates will never be closed at the end of day because there is no night there.

Revelation 22:1-5

Then the angel showed me a river with the water of life, clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb.

It flowed down the center of the main street.

On each side of the river grew a tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, with a fresh crop each month.

The leaves were used for medicine to heal the nations.

No longer will there be a curse upon anything.

For the throne of God and of the Lamb will be there, and his servants will worship him.

And they will see his face, and his name will be written on their foreheads.

And there will be no night there—no need for lamps or sun—for the Lord God will shine on them. And they will reign forever and ever.

John 14:1-3

D

“Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me.

There is more than enough room in my Father’s home.

If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you?

When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am.

Revelation 21:27

Nothing evil will be allowed to enter, nor anyone who practices shameful idolatry and dishonesty—but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life

UNTIL HE COMES AGAIN, WE ARE COMMANDED:

Mark 12:29-31

Matthew 5:43-48

When you see these things begin to happen, look up and lift up you heads, for your redemption draws near. Luke 21:28 NKJV We are not supposed to be watching all these things. We are supposed to be keeping our eyes on Jesus and watching for His appearing.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
