The only place we are told to think we are equal with God was by Paul, who said Jesus believed the same thing, that He was equal with God.

Maybe I am misunderstanding what you are saying here. Are you saying that Paul said Jesus believed that he, Paul, was equal to GOD or that Paul said Jesus believed that He, Jesus, was equal to GOD?

I was watching a Television program that mentioned the estimated number of planets and stars in the Universe. It got me thinking: What do suppose is God's purpose for all of those planets out there? Do you think that one day they all be inhabited/ruled over by believers?

Any ideas? :noidea:

I think GOD made all those beautiful planets and stars to show His Glory, to make beautiful things for Himself; because He could.

Onelight!!!!!

I would appreciate it if you provide scripture to back up that we will rule on other planets.

Stop it brother!!! I never said that. We don't have any scripture that says we get our own planet, and be God over any people. \

Really? Than tell me what you mean when you said the following.

Onelight:

When we are told we are gods, ,that was because we judge others and rule over others. That statement in no way means we are like God.

Thank you Onelight, I was trying to show the belief system that makes us ruler over planets.

"How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit." Isaiah 14:12-15 (KJV)

Someone else thought they could be "just like GOD" Brother Mike.

It is sad that you do not understand our place in Him. If we are to be God, then why would we need to receive rewards? Why need Christ and the New Jerusalem where we will always be in His presence if we are like Him??

Ok, Onelight, you are guilty of not reading my full post. Admit now. This (little gods) thing triggers preconceived things. It's like the Trinity, I hear that, so I think you believe Jesus was a egg white, and that is all Jesus means to you. I skip all you wrote, and fill in the blanks. Lets go over this.

I have read your posts and disagree very strongly with what you bring here. This I admit to. I take this ministry very seriously and will correct when correction is needed. You can play semantics with your egg theory, which is belittling the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit, but the Trinity is true. You can choose not to believe it, but don't belittle the Trinity while disagreeing.

Ye are gods!! Theos!!!

Theos was originally used by the heathen, but in the NT as the name of the true God. The heathen thought the gods were makers and disposers of all things. The acient Greeks used the word both in the singular and the plural. When they used it in the plural , they intimated their belief that elements had their own "disposer" or "placer", as in the god of money mammon. The heavens were the grand objects of divine worship throughout the heathen world as is apparent from the names attributed to the gods of the ancient Greeks. The scriptures also attest to this. Acts 7:42-43 "Then God turned and gave them up to worship the host of heaven, as it is written in the book of the Prophets:‘Did you offer Me slaughtered animals and sacrifices during forty years in the wilderness, O house of Israel? You also took up the tabernacle of Moloch, And the star of your god Remphan, Images which you made to worship; And I will carry you away beyond Babylon.’" If being a god is something honorable, why does scripture speak against it? You have the wrong understanding of being like gods.

Jesus said that. He quoted psalm 82. This came from them accusing him of making himself out to be the son of God, and hence, to be a son, then you must claim that you are also a God.

Jesus said, what a minute, ye are also gods (Theos) why accuse me?

now we have to deal with the scriptures. What does that mean? We need other scriptures. We don't take one, and make a doctrine out of it.

We are gods, Jesus said that. So lets break this down.

see above ... no need to go down a different rabbit hole. Your understanding is not the correct understanding.

I personally think God created them because it pleased Him to do so. Kind of like an artist. I do not think humans will rule over them. That is a mormon idea. Not scriptural.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
