Matt 8:17

17 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.

(KJV)

This tells us that Jesus bare all our sicknesses so they are over, and by His stripes we are healed. Every negative is the direct or indirect result of sins, and Jesus took it all on Himself. He suffered every pain of every ilness known to us. There is so much depth in what He accomplished for us on that cross.

Matthew tells us that Jesus fulfilled the section of Isaiah's prophecy concerning Christ below prior to His scourging and death on the cross. This shows us that healing of our ailments is something that Jesus does in the greatness of His mercy.

Isaiah 53:4 - Surely He hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.

It cannot be denied that this was what Matthew was quoting regarding Jesus going about healing all manner of sickness. But notice above the prophecy has a “yet” within it. That even though Jesus proved His gracious and merciful nature, the people still turned on Him and betrayed Him, and by the cross they “did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.”

So we see there is a progression of thought in Isaiah’s prophecy, which if one reads it carefully they will see it reveals a far greater and different classification of healing.

Isaiah 53:5 - But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed.

This is the securement of the spiritual healing for our relationship with God. For the righteousness of God required the law be satisfied with the shedding of blood and death. Thus by His wounds for our transgressions and His bruises for our iniquities the chastisement of our peace with God was secured and by His stripes we are healed/restored unto God.

ISAIAH 53

BY HIS STRIPES I AM HEALED

Can all be healed by CONFESSING out loud God's word and apprehend their healing by FAITH?

Isa.53:4: "Surely He has borne our grief

look at the question.

if, for example, someone wins a volkswagon in a contest and takes the winning ticket

and "apprehends" it,   then they have it, right ?

also, just for comparison,  if they sit on their couch and tell everybody they won a volkswagon and buy insurance

for it and a tag and title even,  BUT DON'T APPREHEND IT(they don't go get it);

then they do not have it, right ?

WAIT!    Yahweh does not ever, no never, not even once PLAY TRICKS ON YOU WHO ARE HIS.  ever.

HE does not engage in word games either, nor blame games, NOR MAKE YOU TRY TO FIGURE IT OUT games.

so,   none of that.........   simply seek HIM, seek HIM in HIS WORD.... and TRUST AND RELY ON HIM

always in line with all of HIS WORD, and HIS WORD ONLY.

if and when someone is given BY HIM healing;  it is BY HIM, sheer grace and faith TRUSTING and RELYING

on HIM NO MATTER WHAT <><><>  remember all of those immersed in YESHUA are martyrs- die to self and

so do not draw back in doubt nor in fear from suffering or death.

THE STRUGGLES in the meantime.....  the struggles may be over-arching, terrible, extensive and long.

lol This is from 2004 :)

Thank you Jesus for saving us!

Question: "What does it mean that 'by His stripes we are healed'?"

Answer:
“Stripes,” (Isaiah 53:51 Peter 2:24) in the language of the King James Version of the Bible, and in some others, means “wounds,” as seen in more modern translations such as the New International Version. These stripes were administered by whipping the bare backs of prisoners whose hands and feet were bound, rendering them helpless. The phrase “by His stripes we are healed” refers to the punishment Jesus Christ suffered—floggings and beatings with fists that were followed by His agonizing death on a cross—to take upon Himself all of the sins of all people who believe Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior. “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6).

The whips used were made of braided leather, with pottery shards and sharp stones affixed to the ends, which tore open the flesh of the prisoner with each cruel swing of the whip. When we picture this terrible, inhumane form of physical punishment we recoil in horror. Yet the physical pain and agony were not all Jesus suffered. He also had to undergo the mental anguish brought on by the wrath of His Father, who punished Him for the sinfulness of mankind—sin carried out in spite of God’s repeated warnings, sin that Jesus willingly took upon Himself. He paid the total price for all of our transgressions.

Under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, the apostle Peter wrote, “He Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by His wounds you have been healed.” In Isaiah 53, Jesus’ future life on earth was foretold in the clearest of terms, to include his eventual torture and death: “But He was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, and by His wounds (stripes) we are healed” (Isaiah 53:51 Peter 2:24).

Although these two verses are central to the topic of healing, they are often misunderstood and misapplied. The word “healed” as translated from both Hebrew and Greek, can mean either spiritual or physical healing. However, the contexts of Isaiah 53 and 1 Peter 2 make it clear that they are referring to spiritual healing, not physical. “He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed” (1 Peter 2:24). The verse is referring to sin and righteousness, not sickness and disease. Therefore, being “healed” in both these verses is speaking of being forgiven and saved, not being physically healed.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
