Always make sure that your thoughts line up with the Bible.

Not from God, we serve a just, impartial God, not a God of chance.

Get those thoughts out of your head before they settle, it's what satan wants you to think.

Do you attend a good church, and do you have someone that can pastor and advise you?

This is good advise. Perhaps a good counselor or pastor for support? Or a small group in your church for support?

Hello Cloud!

I hope you have gotten some confirmation as to what you were looking for. . .I see you have not been here in a few days and hope your doing well.

Concerning the voice of God, see the verses below:

Isaiah 55:8

"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the LORD."

God GIVES us strength, He does not cast us down and out in the hopes of making us stumble or discomfort us in a material choice to make. From what I gather, and from what I understand of God. . .this is not Him telling you these things. When it comes down to ultimate choice it is between HIMSELF and man.

John 10 is something I do encourage you to read. It talks not only as Jesus Christ as the Good Shepherd but also the "thoughts/voices," we hear. The purpose of the thief and the robber is to set out to seek and destroy, make us stumble in our faith and lead us away from God and into the "danger zone." (See Hebrews 3:12 and 1 Timothy 1:19)

Jesus purpose for us is to enjoy the full life of the Good Shepherd. (John 10:9-10) one that is with a purpose and works all things to the good.

There is a time and a purpose for everything, death and life are not in the power of man. (Ecclesiastes 3)

Do we fulfill a purpose? Absolutely, but are we a creator of things? No. That is God. So

in conclusion, i do not believe that is God speaking to you...........

I don't understand why God would let you choose between your father and with the guy you love.Does your father disapprove of this guy? the reason why you have to choose.?

God speaks to us in accordance to His Words.

May I suggest a more simpler walk with The Father... take all that His Word teaches of Him and then relate to Him in those ways

and not of emotional distance... draw near He (God) says to us and I will draw near to you- His place of first in your being will assure you

of all His Promises and you will become jealous of that Place reserved for Him and then look out relationship that out ways all others

will transform you into complete dependence on Him in all things... Love, Steven

The word states very clearly,

2 Timothy 1:7 (NKJV)

7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

So the question is simple. Did the voice speaking to you bring you a spirit of fear or of love, power and a sound mind?

I agree that this thought is not from God. The Holy Spirit is the comforter. He comes along side us when we are down. A bruised read He shall not break.

Satan does not play fair. He hits us when we are down and least expect it. Do not feel bound by this ultimatum at all. You dad has been representing Father God to you and you are blessed to have such a loving person as your father. I am sure he wants you to have a godly boyfriend in your life, too.

I agree with the others. I cant believe God would tell you to make a choice like that. Satan hates it when we pray. Maybe he was trying to get you to stop praying. Why would there be any connection with your father being healed and the guy you love?

Dear CloudDream27

Let me begin by welcoming you to Worthy,I am very happy that God has lead you here and I pray you will receive the many blessings God has to give.......try not to block them(lol)Firstly God doesn't make anyone sick....in many cases we do reap what we sew and down the road suffer the consequences(eg:smoking, poor diet, lack of exercise, alcohol etc...)or in other cases, who knows why illness befalls many while God allows this,He certainly does not cause it.However, whatever the cause of sickness...remember that God is able to do exceedingly, abundantly and beyond ANYTHING we can ask or think, according to the power that works in us.......prayer is powerful, and the prayers of the faithful availeth much....so perservere in your prayer.

Now,as Jade as already told you God can speak to us but would NEVER give you such a choice,Willow said it does not sound like the voice of God and Rusty suggested you get your priorities straight -let me stand with my sisters and assure you that they are giving you good advice,,,,,Cloud, the most important thing you can do is read the Word of God and seek to strengthen your relationship with Him,putting Him before you dad, before your boyfriend and before your very self....as you become intimate with God you will become sensitive to the promptings of His Holy Spirit that will guide you into all truth.

Jesus Christ died so that you could come to the Father and be reconciled to Him as Holy and Worthy.....go to Him......seek Him in the Word,if you have to choose between prayer and a"guy",the choice should be easy if you love Jesus.Sounds like a very carnal desire to me but Jesus can change the desires of your heart.....have you truly accepted Jesus as Lord of your life?If the only time you are truly happy is in the arms of this fellow then I am not sure that you have met Jesus because there is no greater love that you will ever know....

I am praying for you,ask Jesus to come into your heart.(submitting all, without reservation)...He will do the rest                             Love,Kwik

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
