Should everyone as a Christian be able to heal someone by prayer who needs healing or is it a gift reserved for certain individuals? The reason why I'm asking is because I feel like I was tested the other day. I was in a shopping center and there was a person laying on the floor surrounded by 3 people trying to help. She was conscious but hyperventilating and didn't want anyone to call an ambulance for her. My first impression was that she'll be ok because there already are 3 ppl watching over her. Then, I felt like I should do something, I thought that I should be able to pray for her so that she could be healed, but deep inside I felt that my faith wasn't strong enough to do that in public. I'm not sure if it was my faith or if it was my shyness of not being able to do things in public. A quick thought came across my mind like "what if my prayer doesn't work"... I basically was making excuses to myself because I had never done anything like that in public. So I walked away and felt a great amount of guilt. I realized that it was something I had to improve in my life. But...the interesting thing is that about 15 min later I was tested a second time. I walked outside and a person in need came up to me. It was a person around his 60's, he was deaf and handed me a written note asking for money to be able to buy food. I usually give something if I see that the person isn't an alcoholic or a drug addict. It was hard to tell if he was putting on an act or not about his condition, when he handed me the note he pointed above trying to show me that God was watching. But I didn't give anything right away because I was skeptical so he walked away... I was observing him walking away to see if he was putting on an act, and a little voice in my head was telling me "this is strike two Eric". So all of a sudden it dawned on me that it was meant to be able to redeem myself from not helping the first person, God knew I was feeling very bad about myself and gave me a second chance to take some guilt off of me... So I ran up to him and gave him something with all my heart with love from God, he looked at what I gave him and started to cheer, he touched my face and pointed above again signaling that God was watching. I felt touched... Maybe he was an angel... I felt great after that but later on still questioned my faith about healing others... I find it interesting that the second test was a man "with" a condition who's need of quenching his hunger was more important than the healing of his ears in the moment.

There are times one has to follow the heart and let God lead - other times if in doubt as with the first person, unless you had a paper bag and could help the one hyperventilating you would have been in the way. If medical personnel are on the way let them deal with it otherwise you could be charged with interference. Good intentions are not always a good thing yet prayer in all things is a good thing. Prayer is something we can always do with our heart and let God work the miracle.

It's called walking from Glory to Glory dear brother.

Next time just lean in and ask if you might pray while help is being administered. Seeing the results isn't the point. Being Faithful and Obedient is. What is nothing happened when you prayed? Is that a reason to not pray?

Mark 16:16-18

16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they[a] will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

Whew...Oh yes it is going from Glory to Glory!!! When Walking with God...In The Spirit and not our flesh...being led and guided...oh my...and He asks over and over...Do you Trust Me? It has happened to me...in the very beginning of not being quite sure if I should...and didn't...and given more opportunity...My my, Hall 7...If you are Seeking God and being led like this...It's been my experience that He will give us the words and indwell us with Power to Do His Will Upon The Earth...Always leaving the results up to Him...Always praying without ceasing...I'm so excited for you!!! Being indwelled with the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead...

And then being led (we don't do things on our own...just as Jesus did-He only did what He was instructed or saw The Father do) being led to specific places and sick people show up there...or are already there...or a Simple Word to tell someone...or go and pray for someone in the hospital (I didn't go on my own-oh in the beginning I wanted to heal everybody in the hospital!!! Hahaha ) but asked to go to a hospital and pray for someone and they were miraculously healed...(all these are my own testimony) and you ask them to pray right in a restaurant and they say that they have tried all that...(still knowing I am to do this) then I said: But I know The Healer...and His Name is Jesus...then immediately they accepted prayer...The next morning he was to have his foot amputated...Did I leave the results to God...Oh yes I did...This is His Ministry in me...and He is Responsible for it...

Always being led...It is His Purposes Upon The Earth That We Want To Accomplish For Him...So He Gives The Instruction To A Willing Obedient Heart...Whew...and it's my experience that if there is anything in my life that has to go...Well I can't do His Perfect Will until it goes...He had to clean me up big time...It's true!!! Whew...He is so good, Hall7...

Love to you In Him, Kathy

1 Corinthians 12 ...There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. 5 There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. 6 There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work.

7 Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. 8 To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, 9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, 10 to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues,[a] and to still another the interpretation of tongues.[b] 11 All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines. Does this mean that these gifts are given individually to certain people or does it mean that we have all of these gifts?

Eventually...Still Seeking God we know which gifts we have been given...He will let us know...Patience having her perfect work...and: Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from The Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning (I heard a teaching one time-no darkness in it) James 1:17

And we will know when we are ready-always praying...He builds up our confidence...He is patient and kind...Remember He is Love...He is opening our eyes now...and we see...Oh me...

At some time or another...I have walked in almost all of the gifts...I know it's hard in the beginning...a human walking in the Spirit...but He won't leave us or forsake us...

He sees the desire of your heart, Hall7...and He Is So Good...

Love In Him, Kathy

We can, and should, pray for healing for others but only God Himself can bring it about. Don't blame yourself if God decides to follow His own path; He is God, after all. :mgbowtie:

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
