Everything that is not under the blood of Jesus will stand to accuse us. That is why Jesus told His disciples to pray the Lord's prayer which we should do daily. Forgive us our sins/debts/trespasses as we forgive our debtors/those who sin/trespass against us.

We must forgive in order to be forgiven and we must ask for forgiveness daily.

As for memories of things that happened to hurt us or the memories of those who are not born again Jesus said He will wipe away all the tears from our eyes and we will remember the sad things no more - not in heaven. As for those who do not know Jesus and are not born again, when they die they are separated from the love of God and go into darkness (at least separation from God the opposite of absent from the body is to be present with the Lord) then the judgement and eternal separation in lake of fire.

Yes,one minute after you slip behind the parted curtain you will either be enjoying a personal welcome from Christ or catching your first glimpse of gloom as you have never known it.They will be shrouded in darkness,a region of deprivation and unending regret.

Our soul is all of our memories - those which are good and those which can condemn. The history of our lives. No, this does not die but continues to live on as does the person in the presence of Jesus. How else can one believe that the souls of the Tribulation saints cry 'how long before our blood is avenged' if there is no memory after death?

If we will be like Jesus - He was fully aware while dead because He showed Himself to those in Hell/Sheol? No, we do not die, we are more alive than we are now and our senses are far more acute.

Yes,I think that our memories stay with us but I am wondering how much of our memory from our life on this Earth? We will know our mothers, fathers, siblings from our lives on this Earth so that involves our memories. But what about all the horrible things that happened to us on Earth?Their is no tears or sorrow in Heaven.

You write of lasting memories, but those are only enjoyed by the just - by the saved.

Memories are part of the identity - the self.   If one loses one's self for Jesus and the gospel, then one will find one's self again in Christ.   If one finds one's self, then the self is lost.   As it is with the earthly, so it is with the heavenly.   Those who are lost to Christ lose even the image of the self, their own memories and everything they have ever been.  They are eternally dead to themselves, to God, to earth and all.

and that's just me, hollering from the choir loft...

We need to keep in mind that our concept of time is limited; once dead we leave those limitations and enter the heavenly realm or dimension where time is very different. A thousand years could be just a moment and a moment could be a thousand years. Trying to work things out in detail from our narrow earthly perspective is not going to succeed; God is greater!

The dead in Christ are alive with Him and are with Him in heaven.

2 Corinthians 5:8

Yes, we are fully confident, and we would rather be away from these earthly bodies, for then we will be at home with the Lord.

The dead outside of Christ are alive in their spirits and waiting for Judgment. It is not a pleasant wait.

Luke 16:22-24

“Finally, the poor man died and was carried by the angels to be with Abraham. The rich man also died and was buried, 23 and his soul went to the place of the dead. There, in torment, he saw Abraham in the far distance with Lazarus at his side.

24 “The rich man shouted, ‘Father Abraham, have some pity! Send Lazarus over here to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue. I am in anguish in these flames.’

The believers are in heaven right now.The unbelivers are in shoel/hades Luke 16:22-23 waiting their final judgment and then they will be banished to hell which is their final place of punishment/torment.

The scripture does not say that the believers are in heaven, else there wouldn't be any need for a rapture (please read 1 Thessalonians 4: 14-17, they are however in a place, the believers in a place of rest and unbelievers in hell. The dead are asleep (St John 11: 11-14). as to the part about being conscious, I believe that they are not conscious of what is happening on earth Eccessiates 9:5-6) but to some extent apart of them liveth.

Where is that place of "rest" you are talking about? If the believers are not in paradise or heaven then where are they? The unbelievers are waiting their judgment in Sheol. No one will go to hell until after the judgment.I do not think the believers are in paradise any longer but in Heaven with Jesus.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
