US Discussing strikes on Iran

LONDON – Pentagon officials are said to be discussing possible military action to neutralize Iran's nuclear weapons threat, according to a report in London's Observer. US administration sources are quoted as saying that air strikes – "either by the US or Israel" – to wipe out Iran's fledgling nuclear program would be difficult because of a lack of clear intelligence about where key components are located.

Instead, sources quoted by the paper said the Pentagon is considering strikes in support of regime change, including attacks on the leadership, as well as on political and security targets

The new "modeling" at the Pentagon, with its shift in emphasis from suspected nuclear sites to political target lists, is said to be causing deep anxiety among officials in Britain, France, and Germany, who last week appeared to have negotiated a deal with Teheran to cease work that could contribute to a nuclear weapons program. Also, for Israel to strike Iran, Israel would need refueling assistance from the U.S.

I think we can safely rely on the MAD (Mutually Assured Destruction) principle.

That is to say, I do not believe Iran will ever launch nukes. Same goes for North Korea. These dictators do not want to lose their grip on power.

But if they're going to lose their power, such as in an invasion by the U.S., then they have nothing to lose. Bombs away.

I am amazed at how we in America still just don't get it. We may have to be hit over the head with the truth. The post that states Iran won't use their nukes because the don't want to lose their power posts. Why would they pray tell me want to make the nukes in the first place if they didn't want to use them. Are you willing to stake your life on it. For you may just very will be doing that. These people want to get rid of, kill, destroy, anyone who apposes Islam and Allah's place as THE GOD OF GODS. Thats you, me, and everyone else who don't bow his knee to Allah. Nothing could be any clearer to me. When people started blowing their selves up for the cause of Islam I woke up. If they are willing to kill themselves then they surely won't mind killing half of the human race.
