Islam came from a certain offspring of Abraham if I recall. But I'd hesitate to say were arguing over the same God...

Islam does not worship the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob.  Islam worships some other god.  I believe the moon god.  We as Christians worship the same God as Israel, except we also worship His son Jesus Christ, which Israel does not.

When Mohammed developed the Islamic belief, he was primarily basing his belief in a monotheistic system, from Judaism. There were some Jewish groups which lived in Medina. Mohammad possibly thought that he would be accepted by Judaism as a prophet and included their version of some of the Mosaic law in Islam, but upon being rejected the Jewish leaders, and other issues, came against the Jewish groups, expelling them from the Arab lands.

So, if the belief in only One God is a central belief of Judaism and Islam, both claiming the God of the OT, then it might be regarded that Islam believes in the same God but in a corrupted view of the same God.

A similar system-i.e. belief in only one god, Allah in the case of Islam does not mean that they are the same God. For them to be the same God their teachings would have to be identical-or at least not contradict each other, like the bible and the koran.

The Judaism says that it has 2 daughters: Christianism and Islam

And within Christian:there are Catholicism, Eastern Orthodoxy, Protestantism

And within Protestantism, there are thousands of different branches

All debating on one GOD

Crazy!

Crazy? Yes.

But there are some things you need to recall with this.

1. The "Allah" of Islam is not the God of the Holy Scriptures - the God of Israel; the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. While Islam worships "one God," this god is not Everlasting Father. The god of Islam is not our God.

2. From the Jewish perspective, Christianity is a corrupt off-shoot of Judaism. From the Christian perspective, Jesus is the fulfillment of Hebrew prophecy; thus it is Judaism that fell away from God rather than "Christianity" off-shooting from the Jewish religion.

3. When the faith of the Messiah spread to the Gentiles, the philosophies of the Hellenized (Greek-based) world wove their way into the Christian faith. And so "correct doctrine" became a highly debated issue. Needless to say, agreement was not always come by, and so Christian groups split from each other of doctrinal nuances.

Add to this, "Christianity" became the State religion, and thus the political split between the Western and Eastern Roman Empire likewise resulted in a split between Catholicism and Eastern Orthodoxy.

Protestantism began with certain men who challenged practices and doctrines of Roman Catholicism they found to be in disagreement with Scripture, and thus their attempts to reform the church ended with them and their followers splitting from the church.

So, technically, we have the same faith with regards to Jesus and His redemption; but we disagree on doctrines associated with God, holy living, and religious practices.

From a Judaism view, Christianity claims to be a follow on to Judaism, and uses the Tenakh but Christianity is viewed as in error. Same with Islam but for different reasons.

-------so this is the key, this is what i mean :about the  GOD,so many argument

Judaism is based on the Old Testament/Tenakh. This is considered Gods instructions. And that is correct. Rabbinical Judaism does not believe that Jesus is the Messiah, so also rejects the New Testament. So, Judaism views Christianity as wrong.

Islam accepts the OT, NT and the Koran, but also believes that the OT and NT have been altered, and the Koran corrects those errors. So Judaism views Islam as wrong also.

Christianity of course accepts the OT and NT, but also sees the prophesies that many but not all people in Judaism/Israel will initially reject Jesus. So, that is what is happening now. Actually, what is happening now is in prophesy.

i know ,i know

BUT,THERE IS ONLY ONE GOD!!!!!!!!!

Amen Silvia! One God.

We do make it complicated don't we? When all He asks us to do is Love.

Amen Brother Fez...lol-Halleluliah!!!

Dearest Silvia why are you concerned with the false doctrines and the traditions of men,if I may ask?Yes,I agree that they all seem crazy but we have to remember that they are blinded by the god of this world they cannot see what is very plain to see....they have itching ears and only want to hear what they want to hear...The Jews of all peoples,I believe studied the Scripture more than anyone has ever studied them and knew by heart(imagine that?)Word for Word and when their long awaited Messiah came ,,,,they did not even recognize Him...their whole lives they waited for the fulfillment of prophecy and here He was....living amongst them and they could noy see,for their hearts were hardened....

Clearly you know Who Jesus is,let us just pray for all these lost ones that they be enlightened ,drawn into His marvelous light, out of darkness in the Name of Jesus....that they too ,may have everlasting life by believing on the Name that is above all Names,Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior,...

                                                                                                 With love,in Christ-Kwik

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
