Get a cat for free.

You can catch one in any alley in most big cities. Wear gloves.....

Once you have tamed it (after about a zillion weeks), it will own you.

Seriously.

Dogs have owners, cats have staff. And at least you can fling it out into the garden by it's tail so that it can catch it's own food.

What's the problem?

I had a cat like this. He decided to hang out with me, and I took him in to get vaccinated etc. Anyway one day he ran away with the cat gang he hung out with and I've missed him ever since.

I kind of really like cats.

They are so sort of aloof.... Like they are condescending to have you around, but every now and again they want to be scratched behind the ears, and when they are tired of it they ask you to stop by attacking you......

But I must admit, if people could love each other like dogs love their owners, Oh what a wonderful world it would be.

Check out the series Simon's cat on YouTube, it is very good, he understands cats!

The love I receive from Buddy, our Golden Retriever, is well worth the little cost involved in ensuring his health and happiness.

My cats never had me as staff. They always listened to me. I even taught some of them tricks.

They must be scared of you  :cool2:

Or they were luring you into one of their evil feline traps.....

Cats do nothing with out thinking first, unless it is chasing after a laser pointer.

If you have a cat and a dog what is really fun is to get the cat to start chasing the laser point and then point it at your sleeping dog's head...... make sure there is nothing breakable close by. I have tried it and it is great fun.

You can lift the hilarity level a lot if grandma is visiting......
