I do believe in this present day (in the flesh)Jesus would go to all the churches just as He does now in Spirit.(I agree with Boash)....2000 years have gone by and people have not changed one iota......Often times as I sit in the church pew on Sunday I think to myself"What would Jesus think of this?".....no different than when He rebuked the Pharisees as they sat in their specially designated places, wearing their fancy robes, paying their tithes & saying their prayers of vain repetition & many words that they think they will be heard.........we know the rest, same thing goes on in our modern day churches as it did in the synagogues back then ...and then the gatherings at the church in Corinth and so on....and there are those that He would approve of I'm sure

                                                                                                            With love,in Christ-Kwik

I agree. The Truth does not change but, all to often man seeks to change Truth for his own benefit..... :hmmm:

Blessing & Love  "B"

I don't see any reason why he would visit "churches."  Just as he did in Israel, I believe that Jesus would be on the streets...seeking to save those who are lost.

That's just my two cents worth.

God bless yall,

Randal

I come here with a simple(but hard to answer) question, this question has roots in threads about church attendance. So I thought I might open things up for debate as to opinions for ...>>> If Jesus came back in flesh, which church would he go to, and how do you think he would be received? Would he contend for the Truth before church leaders, as he often did in his own time...?? If Jesus came back now in flesh, how would this world receive him??  If you want to use miracles, use them for healing as was most of Jesus miracles .... wouldn't this world want to own, dissect, control or manipulate what they perceive to be scientific knowledge... not knowing God is beyond our understanding? I dunno you tell me.................

I would think he would go to any church that would invite him?  I would also expect thsat any church that would invite him would desire to hear him speak?  Its not like he would have any reason to attend a church to learn from the Pastor.  Who knows more than God himself?

I don't think Jesus would seek out churches to be confrontational, but I do think that people that think they want to hear his message might not like what he says, and might turn on him?

The question was hypothetical. Jesus went to the synagogue(churches of the times). He was hated to the point of death by the Higher Authorities.... he went to give Truthful messages in spite of this hatred, threats of stoning, and being crucified. He spoke even though it was the desire of the leaders to shut him up ... He taught the so called Teachers and they hated him for it. I believe it would be the same today..... and Revelation supports this in a way>>>>>> Two witnesses(of God's Truth), that the world will hate.... just and opinion, and thank you for sharing yours.

Much love, In my humble opinion and experience...I truly believe Jesus would pray to The Father Which Church To Go To...(notwithstanding the fact that there really is Only One True Church) and He would be unbelievably recieved and then possibly rejected (perhaps people would think that His Healing Power is from the devil-why the devil would heal is beyond me-but anyway). I truly believe He would without a shadow of doubt speak Truth...and probably have to say it in parables so that the lessons etc. would be understood...I truly believe the dilemma of mankind is still the same...the lack of a born again spirit...and Knowing The One True God and Christ Whom He Sent...John 17:3...Jesus!!! I Love and NeedYou...

So true, and thank you for sharing. Truth does not change, and it seems after almost 2000 years mankind does not either.

Where did Christ go? He went to the synagog. He cleansed it of the crooked moneychangers. He spoke to the self righteous pharasees more than the unbelieving liberal sadusees. He reasoned with the pharasees and tried to show them how imperfect their righteousness is and how needful they are. He also went to the poor and diseased, some of which weren't allowed in a church. So I would imagine that he would go to the soup kitchens and missions. He would visit the hospitals and their chapels. Since he came not for the righteous but for sinners, He would not necessarily go where He is welcome. He would be found in the chapels in prisons and walk the corridors ministering to the inmates. Yes, He already goes where His Spirit is now found, and worships with those in whom He lives. But I can't help but think that He would go where He is most needed, to the millions that starve without food and without spiritual food, to the orphans on the streets and to the wretched orphanages around the world. Jesus did not spend as much time in the synagog as He did going out to make Himself accessable to all people, tax collectors and sinners..And He spent the most time with the apostles--the future pastors. So I think He would spend time in Bible schools, teaching the Word of God more correctly.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
