I recently heard that scholars believe that Michael is Gods Archangel

and Gabriel is Jesus' Archangel and Lucifer was the Archangel of the Holy Spirit...

until he was cast out from Heaven... so is this true? / any input on this?

its odd how satan is here on earth and the Holy Spirit is within us

it sort of makes sense, and if you are not with God,

you're against God whether you know it or not.

So nonbelievers have satan/demonic entities ensnaring them

while we are protected by the Holy Spirit.

catch my drift?

I'm not sure we have enough specific information to know that one way or the other.  I personally don't remember ever hearing that, and though I've spent a few minutes pondering I can't really think of scripture that would address the idea one way or the other.

It will be interesting to see what others have to say about it.

That sure sounds like mans theology to me.   If you do a search in scripture for the word archangel, you will find the word in just two places.  1 Thessalonians 4:16 and Jude 1:9.  This sure is not enough scripture to make any doctrine out of, or base any par of theology on.  It sounds good, but is not supported by scripture.

Blessings EndSeeker,

Makes no sense to me at all,not in the least....as OneLight has pointed out there are only 2 references to archangels in the entire Bible, this only leads me to one conclusion....another Mystery of God that we have no need to know(now)......Father ,Son & Holy Spirit are One,why would each be designated an archangel, for what purpose? All the Heavenly Host proclaim,"Holy,Holy.Holy"....they are all subject to Gods Command, that would include Jesus & the Holy Spirit.....

                                                                                                                       With love,in Christ-Kwik

And remember Jesus said He watched lucifer fall from heaven like lightening

yeah i remember kwikphilly, i had to ponder this also, and my explanation that i said was my conclusion after pondering, it doesnt matter to me at whether its true or not, idk what purpose it really serves either besides perhaps a guardian maybe idk if thats necessary tho. I heard this in a sermon, and he was just talking about how lucifer was in gold etc.. then he suggested the scholars theory or yeah mans theology he heard of, didn't say what kind of "scholars" then he went on saying "but anyway" then he continued on how satan fell from heaven like lightning, etc, the rest was all biblically solid so its cool. it was a good sermon it talked alot about other things too and around the moment i mentioned

Sounds Like Jesus

Along With The Joy Of His Archangel

And The Mighty Sound Of The Shofar Of God

For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 1 Thessalonians 4:16

Calling Down To The Beloved

Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 1 Thessalonians 4:17

And Rejoicing Over

The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing. Zephaniah 3:17

His Israel

~

Sounds Like Michael

Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee. Jude 1:9

Defender Of The Jew

And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. Daniel 12:1

And Warrior Of The LORD, To Me

And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. Revelation 12:7-9

Well Yes Indeed Brother.... It's God's Business

Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen. Jude 1:24-25

So I'll Leave The Archangel With The Father

For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. Romans 8:15

And Joyfully Give The Glory Glory

I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles; To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house. Isaiah 42:6-7

To Yeshua, My Salvation

I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images. Isaiah 42:6-8

To Jesus

Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Psalms 103:1

Amen~!

In the Bible Michael is described as being ahead of all the Holy angels. His name means "Who is like unto God". Gabriel is one of the principal messagers of God.His name means "hero of God".

We all have satan and demonic presents around us.We as Christians can not be indwelled with a demonic spirit because we have the Holy Spirit in us.I do not know if unbelivers can be indwelled with demons.

Satan and demons tend to attack the believers more.Satans goal is for everyone to go to hell and not heaven. The new believers often have a difficult time.Satan also does not like it when you bring that Bible out.The more you are doing for Christ the more you could be harrassed. He already has the unbelievers so why bother with them?

yes us Christians cannot be indwelled with a demonic spirit bc of the Holy Spirit

but unbelivers can be attacked by them.. like demonic possession, in exorcisms for instance

only Christians can be in the room..they are protected... but if a nonbeleiver is present,

the dark spirit can jump from the current body to the non believer.. scary right?

and i would think if they bothered non beleivers they could ensnare us just like a demon

the people that I have dealt with who work with Christians having problems with demons tell me that they consider us kind of like a big hotel on the top of a hill.   Each room can be lighted with the Holy Spirit, but if there is any unconfessed habitual sins within the Christian, it's kind of like emptying that part of your life from the Holy Spirit and the light in that room goes out.    Within those rooms, demons can attach themselves and make havoc in the lives of the Christian......   it also hurts their ability to spread the gospel because people see their lights dimly.   They also tell me that it is nearly impossible to rid the person of the demonic activity for any length of time if the sin is not dealt with first.

As long as we have sin in our lives we will have to deal with demonic forces.  If you deal with the sin, you can order the demons away from you yourself for we all have authority to do so in Jesus name.   If you keep the sin, they don't seem to be obligated to leave.

You should never cast a demon out of a non believer who is not ready to invite Jesus to be his Lord and accept the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.  You are really doing a great injustice to the person for the demons will not leave him alone after you leave.  Non believers do not have authority over the spiritual realm and are helpless in dealing with demonic forces.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
