I meant the tree of Knowledge. No, saying I'm not guilty is not saying that, that's an inference you're drawing. This is what you've done with the Scriptures. just because you infer something doesn't mean it's right.

Ok then, so you admit you're a sinner that's good. So since Jesus died on the cross for your sins, have you accepted Jesus as your Savior yet?

Seriously? The Scriptures don't say to accept Jesus as your savior. They say if one believes that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God one will receive eternal life.

By believing on Christ, you are believing and accepting him as your saviour. His death was the penalty paid for YOUR sins, his Resurrection is the Guarantee that you have Eternal life. Because he lives you will live. You are believing the record that God gave concerning his Son. Essentially, God supplied the sin offering for us. DRS81 is right on all accounts. To come to Christ one must see a need for a Saviour, not just believe historical facts about the Christ.

Can you show me Scripture that says accepting Jesus as your savior is how one receives eternal life? I can show you Scripture that says believing that Jesus is the Christ the Son of God is what is necessary to receive eternal life.

30 And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book:

31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.

(Joh 20:30-1 KJV)

Believing that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God brings eternal life. Do you know what the Christ is? If one needs to believe that Jesus is the Christ one must know what the Christ is.

I didn't say anything about only believing some historical facts. If one believes that Jesus is the Christ they should act accordingly so one's actions are also involved in getting eternal life.

Let me ask you, what does it mean to "Accept" Jesus as your savior?

Jesus is your savior whether you accept it or not. He is the only savior and His work was for all men.

Butch for the sake of shortening those outrages quote chains. To accept Christ is to believe the Gospel message. Surely scripture says believe that Jesus is the Christ, but as a student of scripture we know the Christ is the saviour. It was prophesied in the Old Testament and Jesus was the Messiah. Salvation is a gift from God and scripture speaks of receiving that gift. That is what we mean by "accepting".

Rom 5:17  For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God's abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ!

When you say you believe Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, you are saying he is the saviour. I'm really not seeing why you would argue contrary to this.

Mat 1:21  She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins."

If you have a sin nature by birth

Can you get rid of it ? can you change

No, you do not "get rid of the sin nature", you put it to death through the power of the Holy Spirit. (Mortify) Unfortunately this monstrosity is tied to us until Christ gives us our new glorious bodies. We as believers have two natures now. Our new nature is wholly good, and created in righteousness. It's a new creation and not a reformation of the old nature. It delights completely in God's will, and in reality it cannot and will not sin. It is our old nature that wars against our new nature that leads a believer to fall in sin.

Rom 7:20  Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.

Gal 5:17  For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want.

Eph 4:22  You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires;

Eph 4:23  to be made new in the attitude of your minds;

Eph 4:24  and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.

1Jn 3:9  No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God's seed remains in them; they cannot go on sinning, because they have been born of God.

So is the Holy Spirit in the same place as the sin nature is in (the flesh body) ?

What part is born again to change you to the new man from the old man ?

I think we create our own sin nature just like Adam and Eve did, they didn't have one.

Its not long the child learn the sinful ways and commit their own because of weakness and desires and want to be its own boss.

It's simple, many use these cliche's without having any real idea of what they mean.

No, the flesh is not our bodies. In many cases when scripture uses the word flesh, it means that nature of sin, not this meaty body of ours. The body is a vessel that can be used for good or evil. The body is not evil.

Rom 6:12  Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires.
Rom 6:13  Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness.

1Th 4:4  that each of you should learn to control your own body in a way that is holy and honorable,

1Co 6:13  You say, "Food for the stomach and the stomach for food, and God will destroy them both." The body, however, is not meant for sexual immorality but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.

In being "Born again" there is no part of us that is "born again", it is an all new creation from God, not a recreation of our old man. A literal new birth by God's word and the Holy Spirit that gives us part in the new life and world to come. In essence, a brand new you with citizenship and lineage in the New creation under the Headship of Christ. With all the blessings and benefits that come from that union with him. The real you is now out of Adam(by faith) and in Christ Jesus.

2Co 5:17  Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!

Eph 2:10  For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Eph 4:24  and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.

1Co 15:49  And just as we have borne the image of the earthly man, so shall we bear the image of the heavenly man.

I don't agree that we create our own sin nature, Adam and Eve introduced it to the Human race. Literally infected us all with a natural propensity to rebel against God. Scripture says that old man (born under Adam) is corrupt and sinful.

Eph 4:22  You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires;

Butch, no demon has ever confessed Jesus as THEIR very own saviour. They have acknowledged and know he is Messiah, but they have no vestment of him as their very own saviour. That is the difference. Notice DRS81 said "YOUR" personal saviour, not THE Saviour.

DRS81---Yes Jesus is the savior for all men, but we also have a choice to make.

You can accept his salvation or reject it.

That's what being born again means,

if you accept Jesus as your savior you are born again.

One has a choice to make, either follow or not.

What is born again?

When you accept Jesus Christ as your savior you are born again. Born again, it means God has forgiven you of your sins and you have been saved by grace. It means you are now a new creation in Christ. You now walk in the spirit (holy spirit) and not in flesh. When you accept Jesus as your savior, God the Father sends his Holy Spirit to indwell you. For example, some people in the church "follow" God without the seal of the Holy Spirit, without accepting Christ as their savior. The only way to be a follower of God is to admit you're a sinner FIRST and confess Jesus as your savior. Get saved first, THEN follow Jesus. There's a difference between a born again christian and a religious zealot. Religious people know the politics of scriptures, but they don't know Jesus personally. If you really wanna know who Jesus is, admit you're a sinner and accept him as your savior. Christianity isn't about who has more knowledge of scripture. Rather, its main root is having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. (Intimacy). That is being born again, the holy spirit being alive in you. Also study John Chapter 3.

It's the way you look at the Bible. I see the Bible as a love story of salvation between God and man. For example, if you're reading the Bible without the Holy Spirit indwelling you then the words are just words, but if you are sealed with the Holy Spirit then the words in the Bible become alive in your heart. The Word of God becomes alive in your heart. God the Father is alive, and the only way to the Father is through Jesus Christ and admitting you're a sinner. Jesus Christ was a sinless person, so in order to know Jesus you must admit you're a sinner and that you need a savior. Many people admit they are sinners but do not accept Jesus as their savior. That's the difference between religion and love. God the Father raised Jesus from the dead, Jesus is alive. This is the Gospel, this is the good news! - DRS81 :)

The demons know they sinned and have confessed that Jesus is the savior.

Demons know Jesus has authority over them, but they have not given their life and heart over to him. Demons have not accepted Jesus as their savior. Demons hate Jesus.

Jesus Christ is God in the flesh.

What does the mean?

Jesus is one in deity with the Father. When you beget something you are of the same nature. (John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.) (John 10:30 I and the Father are one.") (John 14:7 If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.")

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
