1) If God is dead, there are no moral absolutes and no universal standard to which all men should conform.

2) If God is dead, there is no purpose or rational order in life.

3) If God is dead, any design seen in the universe is projected by men who are desperate to find meaning in life.

4) If God is dead, man is independent and totally free to create his own values.

5) If God is dead, the "real" world (as opposed to a heaven and hell) is man's only concern.

The idea that "God is dead" is primarily a challenge to God's authority over our lives. The notion that we can safely create our own rules was the lie that the serpent told Eve: "ye shall be as gods" (Genesis 3:5). Peter warns us that "there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction" (2 Peter 2:1).

The "God is dead" argument is usually presented as a rational, empowering philosophy for artists and intellectuals. But scripture calls it foolish. "The fool hath said in his heart, 'There is no God'" (Psalm 14:1). Ironically, those who hold to the “God is dead” philosophy will discover the fatal error in the philosophy when they themselves are dead.

If Jesus died, how can he be alive now, and if he is not dead, how can he be a sacrifice for our sins?

If Jesus died how can He be alive now?

That answer depends on how we define death. To die does not mean to go out of existence.Death is separation.Physical dealth is when the soul-spirit separates from the physical body.In that sense,God died, because Jesus was God in human form, and Jesus soul-spirit separated from His body. However,if by "death" we mean "a cessation of existence", then,no,God did not die.For God to "die" in that sense would mean that He ceased to exist, and neither the Father or the Son or the Holy Spirit will ever cease to exist. The Son,the second,Person of the Trinity, left the body He temporarily inhabited on earth but His divine nature did not die,nor could it.

Yes, One Light. That's what lessons the sacrifice. How can an eternal being give up its life?

If He lives, how can He have died for us? If He died, how can He have been resurrected. Sometimes it is difficult to see the sacrifice when a Being is eternal...Sorry to ask hard questions, but I'm trying to make sense of this especially at Easter time.

Do you believe in God, that He is eternal, no beginning and no end?

Repeating your question does not answer mine. To understand how God can transform His seed to a human to live as a human, and be raised back to His former Glory, one needs to answer this question in themselves. The God you are asking about, is He eternal?

When God created Adam and Eve they were perfect. Then they succumbed to Satan's temptations and lies. They disobeyed the will of God by eating of the forbidden fruit. Genesis 2:16-17 tells us that the Lord commanded to the man "you are free to eat from any tree in the garden;but you must not eat from the tree of Knowledge for you will surely die".But God,in His Grace and mercy, provided a way out from this dilemma, the shed blood of His perfect Son on the cross. This is why Jesus came and why He died.Jesus had been with the Father forever but God sent His only son to be born of a virgin so He could relate with humans. He could not come as He was and relate to us very well.So he humbled Himself to be born of a human and in a lowly manger.

OK, now I see your reply.

God, who created all there is, understands perfectly well what it takes for a woman to bear a child. He, through the Holy Spirit, planted His seed into Mary, a virgin. Jesus is the child who was born from this pregnancy, God incarnated. He lived as a man in this world as an example to us all, instructing us what the will of the Father was and how we are to live. For this reason, He was crucified and died a human death. After three days, the same God who created all, raised Him from the dead.

Yes, He was alive, then died, then was risen from the dead. You see, the flesh is all that dies. The spirit lives on.

Yes,if Jesus appeared to us as He was and not on our level it just would not work.Although Jesus was not excepted anyway.

Those that expected him was looking for a king and not a savior.......    savior part came first......    king part comes next time.

BTW those who were familiar with the first two books of Enoch have no excuse whatsoever for not knowing who Jesus was.....

Blessings Jerry...

I do believe that your questions were answered completely ,I would just like to share a beautiful poem with you......if i may?

                                                Jesus Humbled Himself

He went from commanding the angels............to sleeping in the straw

From holding stars.......................................  to clutching Mary's finger

The palm that held the universe......................took the nail of a soldier

                                                        Why?

Because that's what love does......                                 Max Lucado

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
