I have always wondered, that if two persons show up in Jerusalem, began preaching and calling fire down from heaven, how can the world not know who they are? And if the world knows who they are, then would not the Anti Christ also know they will rise up after he kills them? I am assuming he has read the same book.

Both were taken by God or taken up to the heavens ( not Heaven ) and since flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, they are right now travelling through time where they will be dropped off to serve Him during the great tribulation.

 

A clue to this displacement can be seen with Philip.

 

Acts 8:³⁹ And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing. ⁴⁰ But Philip was found at Azotus: and passing through he preached in all the cities, till he came to Caesarea.

 

Since the two will be killed during the great tribulation, they are not transfigured yet.
