I understand what cats is saying. At least I think I do :24:

I asked for Christ to come into my life while attending a chruch that pushed Hinn and others that I won't mention <_< I fell into the deception head first...but the whole while God was speaking to me and teaching me to open my eyes. I will say here what I said in another thread (although I can't remember which one) I think sometimes God lets us live the lie for a while...so when He reveals the truth to us we see much clearer. I came to Christ under a not so good doctrine....but I took my steps to Him there...so I do not see it as a waste.

All we can do is pray for those caught in a snare...wherever they are :24:

Love and Blessings,

Angel

Wow, this should be a interesting program ...to know there are hidden camera's!!

Budman,

I agree w/ all you've said here. It is refreshing to know others have discernment on this matter. Its not to condemn someone but to shine light on darkness. As a person we may not be perfect but most of us aren't deceiving people for money & using scripture as a tool.

I have been here a long, long time. I'm an "Old Timer" with a zillion posts and my fingers are falling off the keyboards, okay?

Been here, done this...forever.

I like Worthy and enjoy sharing my views. I've been pretty pigheaded at times, too.

I've always been a bit "pig headed" with Benny Hinn, not to mention a few others as well. Let me make it plain to those who still don't get it: I never liked the guy, okay?

There. Pretty blunt now.

Once day I listened to the voice of the Holy Spirit speak to my heart say, "Are you willing to forgive him?"

My first response was, "What? Forgive him for what? He hasn't done anything to me personally....but I pity all the poor souls he leeches after, don't You?"

There was a "quiet" between the Lord and I. Just a silence.

God then asked me, "Do you forgive him?"

After I thought about it for awhile, I thought, "Well, Lord....I would find it easier to forgive him for his sins if he was sorry."

Then, in a quiet, still voice the Lord spoke to me and said, "Then why aren't you praying for him? Do you want him to die in his sin? "

Ouch.

Ya'll .....think about that one. Do you want a preacher who's been ensnared by the riches of this world, (assuiming this is his snare) to remain caught in this trap by the enemy?

Or, do you love your brother as yourself and unloose him from the snare and free him?

How can you possibly free him? Is there anything in this univese stronger than the power for prayer?

If every Christian who found Benny Hinn an offense would pray for him to be set free from the snares of material bondage, not only would this free more money to be spent on ministerial uses but would help set him free from a human weakness.

If that were your own blood brother, sister, mother or father.....wouldn't you want to pray for them to be set free?

Look, I have felt much more like Jonah and wanting Ninevah to get what's comin' t them...**(if you get my meaning).

God has wanted me to look upon Ninevah with compassion and pity and pray for them so they'd repent.

So, while I may not care for the pitiful sin I see when shepherds feed themselves out on their own flocks but there is great rejoicing when a shepherd has gone astray and then repents.

Is it not better to have one return to the lost flock?

I just know what my conscience is telling me.

It is very obvious from reading the posts here that most of you have never watched the Lord work through Pastor Benny, nor have you obeyed the Lord and prayed for him instead of bashing him. Can you see those big logs in your eyes as you try to perceive the speck in your brothers?

If I were to use discernment and have to be objective in who was the sincere Christ loving Christian, most of you, or Pastor Benny, I believe he would come out as the one who is both walking in obedience to the calling of the Lord and the one who loves the sinner enough to go into places most people would run from. I believe he is probably praying for people like you and asking the Lord to forgive you. I know he loves the Lord and has laid down his life, counted the cost and willingly gone into the world to preach the gospel.

I don't know this dear Brother in person, but I can see his life and how he is being used of the Lord both to reach millions of souls and spread the gospel, and manifest the signs that follow true believers as the Lord uses him to heal the sick.

I have watched him enough to know he always gives God the glory and that he strives to walk in humble obedience to his calling.

I have also personally been given the burden by the Holy Ghost to pray for the man and those souls the Lord wants to reach through him. If he wasn't of the Lord none of this would be evident.

People like Jim Jones were about Jim Jones. Men of God like Benny Hinn are lifting up and glorifying the Lord Jesus Christ. If anyone does not recognize the difference they need to ask the Lord for discernment, love for the brethren and for a personal relationship with Jesus that leads them into a deeper walk with God.

ted....run do not walk...run to the nearest exit... :24:

jesussaves....have not most of us said to pray for Hinn and his actions...that is our greatest weapon. Its not up to us to judge Hinn...its up to God. If he is doing this for his own reasons...then he will answer for it. If not then he will be rewarded greatly.

Now from my experience...I do not want anything to with Hinn and his ilk. That is my decision...one I prayed over and feel I got the CORRECT answer from God. There is nothing wrong with my ability to discern where God wants me to be...I may be a little slow on the listening part...but I always end up where He wants me ;)

Now excuse me while I look for the exit, ted went and left ;)<_<

Love and Blessings,

Angel

No, actually, most have formed opinions of him because he has a big house or accused him of taking advantage of people for money...Pastor Benny was under attack by the secular media several years ago and they couldn't find any valid fault that would hold water. This time I am hoping the media will ask him with sincerity about the goodness of the Lord and admonish the Lord has been doing wonderous things; things they can clearly see. Joyfully, I have been witnessing the secular media wanting to know more about the God we know to be the Lord of all.

Every Christian will be know for his own personal works or deeds, even if other Christians have sins that are found out and brought to light. We are all accountable to a holy God. Yes, when Jimmy Swaggert and Jim Baker were raked over the coals many people did turn off their t.v sets to those who preached, but the Lord just raised others up. I am glad those men and others who have done wrong have a heart for God like King David. A heart that pants after the Lord and repents of sin at the great mercy seat of our Lord. The mercy seat that dripped the blood of Jesus. The foot of the cross.

Father, bless Pastor Benny today. Help him to always walk humbly before You. Bind any hinderences from the great revival fire and salvation of millions of souls in India as he goes there soon to minister. Touch those surrounding churches and their Pastors and help them to join together to help pray for the salvation of souls and then disciple them after they receive Christ. Father, surround Pastor Benny with God fearing, Spirit filled men and women of God to hold up his hands as the battle rages and keep him from growing too tired and weary. Give him strength and anoint him with a mighty anointing that will be tangable when he walks by. Thank You Lord for hearing and answering my prayers. Bless him and keep guard over him Lord. I pray the blood of Jesus over him, his family, his ministry and all he has. Close the mouth of the lion, Father. In Jesus name I pray, amen.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
