I feel sorry for you people... With all due respect, I fully feel you need to open your eyes.

For example study the theory of evolution.

Charles Darwin was an amazingly intelligent fellow.

Visit a local museum...

Do you choose to ignore the fact that dinosaurs existed?

That evolution has really occurred?

If there really is a God ( a common matter of debate) , I am deeply sure in all of my being that he/she would not want people to just close their minds to pure and simple truth, the laws of physics, science, and geology.

I am always hearing religious folk preaching to "Open your minds and hearts to god" is God the only thing you may open your minds and hearts to?

And Daniel speaks of being secular. Ever thought that Secularity is but a synonym for logic?

This was I am sure a futile attempt at making my fellow human beings see sense that I opened my heart to long ago. But as all honest Christians should know, each and every one of us is entitled to our own opinion.

To close, I quote something that a person of great wisdom once told me.

"Religion is something left over from the infancy of our intelligence, it will fade away as we adopt reason and science as our guidelines."

Some flaws in your assumptions, one in particular: that we have not gone to museums or learned anything. All of mankinds wisdom is mere foolishness to the Lord.

Accepting Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior and having a relationship with Him is not a religion , it is the only way to escape the bondage of sin. He is the only way to the Father. He is salvation in our lives if we accept Him. He literally saves us from the pits of hell and heaven is ours. That choice is up to you. We did'nt evolve, God created us, each and everyone of us !!. It is the one truth that will never change. Its not science that will change anything. God does and will continue too .. We just have to have faith....

Please do not feel sorry for us? We have Peace and Joy in the Love of our Father. He is your Father too. You just aren't aware of it yet.

We haven't lost our minds or our lives? We simply have gained what was always our's. Liberty in Christ Jesus.

To assume that we haven't discussed or even looked into all that you state? Is merely a bad use of your Logic. Reason and Science both have agreed for century's that there is a God.

Relativism is a lie. It is quite clever. Still and all a lie. Designed as it were to keep you ignorant. Designed to keep you high minded that we are all ignorant. Or that to believe in God is a childish attempt at reasoning away our lives.

There are many relics in Egypt that testify to a bunch of dead Kings. Monarchs who excelled in Worldly Wisdom. Each one of them died. All their glory, all their pomp, statues, and Grandiose display could not stop them from reaching mortality. Each one will give an account.

The Lord does dwell in a High and Holy Place with the humble, contrite , and poor!

Humble and lowly. Contrite for they are broken hearted for their sin against a Holy God. Poor for they have nothing to offer. Not offering a theory or even a Pyramid. Just what the Lord has required. Which really is a light task since He has already paid for your sins. What has God required?

With all due respect, but evolution is a theory...nothing more. It is not yet proven fact. Though countless might say so. The only truth that matters within this heart is the gospel of Jesus Christ.

No offense, but if our DNA were to have a 2% difference from a banana would that not make us ones to have evolved from a fruit?

Also, if evolution was true we would be nothing more than a mistake. As it is written in Genesis, God made man.

Forgive me, should this have seemed a bit offensive also if feathers were ruffled that was not the intent. Though there is no denying that when my faith is being insulted, as well as that of fellow brothers and sisters...I can be a bit hot headed. Just please try to keep in mind that this is a forum made for discussing God as well as joining in Fellowship...not bashing one another's beliefs.Again my appologies.

kind of funny that if you studied this Charles Darwin at all, you would also know that he denounced evolution, that is could not happen as he was trying ( yes, trying but unable ) to prove. you would also know that Charles Darwin was unable to even come up with anything to support evolution. and then you would also know that Charles Darwin became a Christian, for what he found supported creation more then anything else.

as far as opening our minds and hearts to something other then Christ would be allowing satan to move in, and guess what, God can not co-exist in your heart with satan. you can not have both as your master. if you are not for God, you are against Him. there is no such thing as a middle of the road with God, you are either Hot or Cold, Hot for Him or cold ( for satan ) and if you are luke warm, He will vomit you out, even worse then being cold, for that is misleading people.

as far as Dino's being arou nd, the Bible speaks of great beasts.

as far as being secular, well, Daniel stayed loyal, stayed faithful to the Lord God thru all things. even under the penalty of death.

so did his companions.

my life is totally dedicated to the Lord, does that mean i am perfect? no, not at all, i still make errors.

the closer I get to the Lord, the more I learn there is to do for the Lord and the closer I get, the more I see of the Lord and what the Lords will is for me. and the more i know what the Lord God wants from us. the more i receive from the Lord, the more I want from the Lord.

I know where i was, and i know where i am, and i know the path that brought me here. at one time, i used logic, and i was unhappy, for I was living as man thinks i should live. now I live as God wants me to live, and I am happy. full of joy, peace and am thrilled when i get a chance to speak to osme one about Him.

I wittness to all that i meet, and with some I even speak to them.

I hope one day, that you will see what the Lord has for you. I hope that one day is not too late.

Hi and welcome to Worthy Boards.

First off, don't feel sorry for believers - we appreciate the feeling behind it, but it really isn't necessary. We have something worth more than diamonds and gold, more than anything you can think of. So, no need to feel sorry for us.

Of course not. Did you know that dinosaurs are mentioned in the Bible? It's facinating - passages that speak of huge animals with "tails like the cedar trees". Pretty cool.

ITA. God is truth, so He surely doesn't want us to close our mind to it. And, Christianity and physics,science and geology are not mutually exclusive. God gave us physics and science and geology and we are interested in them.

I agree. Religion is pretty worthless. That's why I don't practice any. It's just a bunch of outward show and "have-to's". I do, however, know the living God and His Son. I actually know Him and interact with Him daily. That is the thing that is worth more than gold.
