Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a Child is born,Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be calledWonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

John 1:14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

Revelation 19:13 He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God.

Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.

Matthew 1:22-23 So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying: “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”

J

1 John 5:6-8 This is He who came by water and blood—Jesus Christ; not only by water, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is truth. For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one. And there are three that bear witness on earth: the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and these three agree as one.

The human mind cannot understand the Trinity. Jesus is Almighty God.

John 14:6-7 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. “If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him.”

They assumed He made himself God. He and God are the same in character, a.k.a One in Spirit. Their souls are also connected. The Word was Him part means they were One in Character, or spirit, both are the same. The Pharisees also called Jesus other things that are not true. It says all things were made through him but not by him. God is the Creator. Jesus is the Word. By the Word all that is created was created. God said, be light, and it was invented. He gave things the 'breath of life.' This was all done through Jesus.

Also your verse is incorrect.

45It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of jGod. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me. - John 6:45

Another thing done by the Son to show He is The Way to The Father.

By the way that Rev part never referred to Jesus as The Father or God. Alpha and Omega means beginning and end. Jesus is from 'everlasting to everlasting'. That was what was prophesied about Him. When He was on earth He had left his glory that He had. John witnessed the Christ glorified. Jesus even prayed to be glorified again.

Furthermore every believer has authority to forgive sin on earth.

22 And when He had said this, He breathed on them and said to them, "Receive the Holy Spirit. 23"If you forgive the sins of any, their sins have been forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they have been retained." - John 20:23

Because He forgave sin on earth does not mean He is God. That is a lie. But He did forgive sin and does forgive. Every believer has much authority, I am not sure why to this you are unaware. Because of his awesomeness you might have mistaken Jesus for God in revelations. He is prince of all the Kings of the earth.

4 John to the seven churches that are in Asia: Grace to you and peace, from Him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven Spirits who are before His throne,5 and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To Him who loves us and released us from our sins by His blood-- - from Revelations 1:4-5

6and He has made us to be a kingdom, priests to His God and Father-- to Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen - Revelations 1:6 To his God and Father.

How you gonna get out of that? You can't. Oh, and Jesus did receive worship. From certain people on the forum unfortunately. But people paid tribute to him when He was on earth. As for worship, he did not even accept it. The blind man did not worship Jesus also. The one who was healed by Him through the power of God.

proskunew,v {pros-koo-neh'-o}

1) to kiss the hand to (towards) one, in token of reverence 2) among the Orientals, esp. the Persians, to fall upon the knees and touch the ground with the forehead as an expression of profound reverence 3) in the NT by kneeling or prostration to do homage (to one) or make obeisance, whether in order to express respect or to make supplication

^That was translated as worship for some reason. It was an act of reverence to Jesus. Kneeling and prostrating was done to Kings in the Old Testament as well. Go ahead and search on John 9:38, you will find that it the english versions are not all translated the way the Greek is. The Greek was there before the English one was. Paul and The Apostles did not speak English. The scriptures of the NT are the accounts and testimony of the Apostles and devout followers of The Way and God.

The wise worship Almighty JESUS.

Matthew 28:9-10 And as they went to tell His disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, “Rejoice!” So they came and held Him by the feet and worshiped Him. Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid. Go and tell My brethren to go to Galilee, and there they will see Me.”

Mark 5:6 When he saw Jesus from afar, he ran and worshiped Him.

Matthew 14:33 Then those who were in the boat came and worshiped Him, saying, “Truly You are the Son of God.”

Matthew 8:2 And behold, a leper came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.”

Matthew 15:25 Then she came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, help me!”

Matthew 28:9 And as they went to tell His disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, “Rejoice!” So they came and held Him by the feet and worshiped Him.

John 9:38 Then he said, “Lord, I believe!” And he worshiped Him.

Matthew 21:16 and said to Him, “Do You hear what these are saying?”And Jesus said to them, “Yes. Have you never read,‘Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infantsYou have perfected praise’?”

Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.

Revelation 5:12-14 saying with a loud voice:“Worthy is the Lamb who was slainTo receive power and riches and wisdom,And strength and honor and glory and blessing!” And every creature which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, I heard saying:“Blessing and honor and glory and powerBe to Him who sits on the throne,And to the Lamb, forever and ever!” Then the four living creatures said, “Amen!” And the twenty-four elders fell down and worshiped Him who lives forever and ever.

You may not know this but Jesus is the Lamb. And he is coming back as a Lion.

John 5:26-29 For as the Father has life in Himself, so He has granted the Son to have life in Himself, and has given Him authority to execute judgment also, because He is the Son of Man. Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice and come forth—those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of condemnation.

Matthew 10:28 And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

You may want to give him some praise or worship. He has the power to destroy soul and body in hell...and dump u into the fiery lake of burning sulphur

Revelation 15:3-4 They sing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying:“Great and marvelous are Your works,Lord God Almighty!Just and true are Your ways,O King of the saints! Who shall not fear You, O Lord, and glorify Your name? For You alone are holy. For all nations shall come and worship before You,For Your judgments have been manifested.”

Jesus Christ is Lord God Almighty.

Romans 14:8-9 For if we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s. For to this end Christ died and rose and lived again, that He might be Lord of both the dead and the living.

Romans 14:11 For it is written:“As I live, says the Lord,Every knee shall bow to Me,And every tongue shall confess to God.”

Philippians 2:9-11 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Everybody is bowing down to Jesus Christ.....

Augustine, I did not say that Jesus HAS eternal life.   I said that Jesus claimed TO BE eternal life and the One who gives eternal life.   John 4:31-41; 6: 40, 48-58; 11:25-26 and 14:6 all point to the fact that Jesus is both eternal life and He is One who gives eternal life to those.   Salvation isn't a thing.   Salvation is a Person.  Jesus is Salvation because Jesus is God the very God who gives eternal life.  The only person who can be and give eternal life is God;  ergo, Jesus is God.

If you don't believe that, you are not a Christian.

Dear Augustine,

what you have posted is very clear from scripture, as the Father being greater than the Son (on earth as a man).

And the many other texts you have put forward support your views.

But if you look at the texts supplied by others, they state that Jesus can be referred to as the everlasting Father. See Post #63.

These are very powerful texts as well.

Jesus on earth prayed to the Father as a man must. So we will find a lot of texts which show inequality in status. But in the end He wanted to be given the glory He had before condescending to become human. He longed for the appreciation of the Father as only one equal with Him could, not just as a man, but glorified as the Son of God in His deity. The glory he asked for was not about power, but about a complete relationship. And in the same prayer He asked, that through His victorious humanity, the disciples and all those what believe in Him, will experience a completed relationship, full understanding and appreciation of love.

As the Son of God, equal with God, He could be one with the Father, and through His glorified humanity He could be one with every believer.

There is another aspect that occurs in creation, it so happens that God the Father cannot create through His Son, unless He was equal, in power and ability, and has all qualities infinite. It is also impossible for any person to be one with God, unless they were equal in power and all eternal values. The eternity factor makes it impossible for anything less than equal with God to be able to withstand that presence and power. If not they would be consumed not over time, but in an instant.

There are only three persons who share this eternal life, everything else has to live in special conditions, which God the Father has ordained Christ to be that condition for life. In other words, only One equal with God in total, could make a place in infinite power, that suites a creation. If not the creation would be consumed in an instant. No place is available for it to exist.

That is why God makes allowances for creation to exist by declaring "Let there be..." over and over again. These are concessions created by the Son, and so God creates by and through the Son.

When Jesus said that the Father is greater than I, He was referring to preeminence, not power. And if the Father came to earth as a babe, then they would refer to Jesus as greater than I.

Well Jesus never said he was God. He said I and my father are One. When people love each other as their self they become One in Spirit, this is the same with David and Jonathan (read the bible). The ones who love God are loved by him and are with him One in Spirit, thus Children of the Living God. Jesus is The Word. The spirit of the anti-christ denies that Jesus is from God. The children of God know that he is the Messiah. Furthermore, Jesus said 'The Father is greater than I'. Bible translations and such are not correct in declaring Jesus God, but he has the Godly nature. Jesus has even prayed to The Father. If he is God, who would answer his prayer? The Father is God. Jesus is The Word. The Holy Spirit is given to those who believe.

John 1:14 says 'The Word became flesh.'

Jesus has been given authority over all that is created. Through him all created things were created. God is eternal. Jesus is also eternal. He said 'Before Abraham was, I am!' He taught Abraham as well, which is why it has said, 'But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham..' The prophets and such have this written concerning their lives. 'The Word of The Lord appeared to Moses', 'The Word of The Lord appeared to Abraham', and 'The Word of The Lord appeared to Elijah.' Things like this, Amos, Micaiah, Isaiah, Jeremiah were all followers of His Way. This was all before he came in the flesh. If they believe in Him they will believe he is the Messiah, and they will know he came in the flesh. But as for before, they believe. Before he came there were people who followed His Way. I am not saying they follow His Way and do not believe he came in the flesh. If you follow his Way you will not deny he came in the flesh.

As for the people in your post, they do well to believe Jesus is of God, if they do anyways. If they believe he came in the flesh then that is right. They do well to believe he died for the sin of all who believe in him, but his blood is for all who believe in him, and to an unbeliever the wrath of God is upon him. Not all are cleansed by the blood. He had revealed what is hidden, this is true as well.  Maybe they are not sure of the term Son of God. They might be afraid to put him on a pedestal because they might think it would be idolatry. He is worthy of honor, and the Father is to be worshiped and he alone, being honored higher then any. But the Son is worthy of praise. They might be in a disposition, because certain people believe Jesus is God and by that commit idolatry, I think I understand what you mean a bit, well, if they are that way (the people who are specified in the first post,) They might come to acknowledge it.

"You shall not make for yourself an idol, or any likeness of what is in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the water under the earth.…'' Exodus 20:4 is ignored by certain people.

Unfortunately that is not really known by all who claim to be Christian and those of the world are in deception. Hope this could help. Amen.

Hi there Augustine. :)

Little lamb, This is very correct, bless you!

I think perhaps you are a bit deceived Augustine. That's ok maybe I can help.

Jesus in Fact is God, Jesus said I and my Father are one, yes that is correct, He also said if you have seen me, you have seen the Father,That also is correct.

Now in the beginning God created, In john 1:1 it says

John 1:1Amplified Bible (AMP)

In the beginning [before all time] was the Word ([a]Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God [b]Himself.

Now, let's make sure this is not an understanding. Let's hop over to 1 john 5:7

1 John 5:7Amplified Bible (AMP)

So there are three witnesses [a]in heaven: the Father, the Word and the Holy Spirit, and these three are One;

Let's now look at Isaiah 7:14

Therefore the Lord Himself shall give you a sign: Behold, the young woman who is unmarried and a virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel [God with us].

Now, let's go into the book of Isaiah Chapter 9 verse 6 and 7

Isaiah 9:6-21Amplified Bible (AMP)

For to us a Child is born, to us a Son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder, and His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father [of Eternity], Prince of Peace.

Of the increase of His government and of peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from the [latter] time forth, even forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.

So. It is highly inaccurate for your words, especially intending to undermine those of the faith. Those who belong to God know God.

Jesus Christ is God in the Flesh. Without question. There is no other name given, how could that be if He was not?

I hope this clears things up for you. Please don't be silly, and do not try to undermine those of His fold, for if you cause one to stumble as a result of your silliness you will be accounted for it.

Speak the truth or hold your tongue :D

-Will

Eited to add, Well done everyone. There are a lot of good responses. Praise God for His truth:D

6 This is the One who came by water and blood, Jesus Christ; not with the water only, but with the water and with the blood. It is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth. 7 For there are three that testify: 8 the Spirit and the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement. - 1 John 5:6-7,  your AMP Bible isn't reliable sir (Will M). It does not say they are One. Though every believer in The Way has the Holy Spirit, which is the Holy Character, it does not equate to them being all One as God at all. God does send the Holy Spirit, and the Holy Spirit isn't referred to as God even once by any legitimate scripture, or I don't even think any acceptable one.

Also Kam, God does not give 'permission' because He is at the highest authority. He said 'be light.' That is what he said, and then light was. Him giving permission makes zero sense.

12"It is I who have declared and saved and proclaimed, And there was no strange god among you; So you are My witnesses," declares the LORD, "And I am God. 13"Even from eternity I am He, And there is none who can deliver out of My hand; I act and who can reverse it?" - Isaiah 43:12-13

By the way that Isaiah bit says 'His name shall be called not his name is. Jesus' name is Yehoshua on earth. That means a cry for help from God, which indicates that God is salvation. If he is God as you say he wouldn't be that way. God also said, 'I will send my Son.' If he was originally God then he could not be sent. God is One. That would mean God sent a piece of himself and that is not possible, because he will not allow himself to be defamed or lowered at all. Also shiloh357 if salvation isn't a thing then how come other people of the old testament have names that indicate God is my salvation. What person is literally salvation? That's like saying Father isn't a thing but a person. It is both. It is a concept, and a person is also able to be a Father. God is not limited to a concept, and I don't think a word could even articulate the entirety of God, other than, well, God. But even that does not identify all of it. So yet again you are proven wrong.

10"Behold, I have refined you, but not as silver; I have tested you in the furnace of affliction. 11"For My own sake, for My own sake, I will act; For how can My name be profaned? And My glory I will not give to another. - Isaiah 48:11. He glorified Jesus in creation. He gave Jesus his glory. Jesus even prayed for it. But God is not defamed. No matter how much anyone said or says to try to lower him it is impossible.

Permission is this: consent or authorization. He does not need consent or authorization. He does not need consent, and that is what was explained. Also @ Will M I explained the everlasting father etc a bit earlier, please read up. God declared nobody could reverse what he has done. Nobody can deliver out of his hand, so Kam, him being equal with anyone is not possible. Because that would mean he has a contender. And with Him nobody can compete. He is called The Most High for a reason. Almightyist, I already acknowledged Jesus' authority, so you showing it means you did not understand what I posted, or for some reason think that I need to be taught what I already know. You didn't even explain the verses you just had them pasted. Bowing is not worship, almightyist. In the Old Testament people bowed down all the time and there was no problem with it. God has made Jesus glorified and first in everything. God is however still greater than Jesus of course. But other than Him, Jesus is greater than all. John 9:38 isn't translated correctly and I posted on it even providing the proper verb from Greek that is supposed to fit. You could go research it on your own, I explained it in a post which is ignored yet again. For some reasons my posts are ignored. If you are so right you would not ignore it, you are just afraid. You can do what you want and I don't care because I will prove you wrong again. If you had faith you would swallow what I typed. Jesus can do whatever he wants to us and he has authority to do so. I'm trying to articulate, though, that we should worship the God he does and not Him. The Father is greater than The Son. Bible even states The Father is His God, but I think certain people here are blind so they just can't get it across the head, or God did not let them understand it. Well then again, you could only understand it if God let you. FURTHERMORE, there is a difference between praise and worship. Praise is: to express warm approval or admiration of. Worship is: the feeling or expression of reverence and adoration to a God. Should be God, but some people make idols for themselves.

I'm sort of going on the fly here but another thing Kam, Jesus submits to God, and he even expressed that God's will be done and not His before being crucified. This proves his submission, and in a Master/Servant relationship concession is not required, though if the servant has a request, it is ultimately in the hand of the Master to accept it.

You people can quote scripture all you want but you do not thoroughly explain it thoroughly. I have made walls of text (not literal), to even explain and cite other parts of the bible that support the Truth. Even the devil quoted scripture, but Jesus interpreted it. Just because you paste that Jesus is praised and is referred to as Lord (which is true, that is what He is), you cannot prove He is God because He isn't.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
