No, not at all.  I read there were between 60 and 80 thousand on the ground in Syria and Iraq.  The problem is that, unless U.S. boots hit the ground, no one is going to step up and fight them.  Our military has paid it's dues; let someone else sacrifice their young and shell out the billions it takes to fight wars.  Maybe Jordan may go after them for real now but.....who knows?

They do not seem to be successful with air attacks.  :hmmm: Jordan is madder than Rush Limbaugh trying to cross the street during a gay pride parade and have said they will get them.

This is the most recent.

http://www.cnn.com/2015/02/05/world/...dan/index.html

"This is just the beginning and you shall know who the Jordanians are," the armed forces said in a statement on state TV.

They claimed hits on ISIS training centers, arms and ammunition depots: "All targets were completely destroyed and all the planes returned to their bases safely."

The air mission was named "Moath the Martyr." State TV aired exclusive video footage of warplanes striking unspecified ISIS positions in Syria.

Jordanian Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh later stressed to CNN that the airstrikes marked the beginning of his nation's retaliation over the pilot's death, but not the start of its fight against terrorism. He vowed to destroy ISIS.

"We are upping the ante. We're going after them wherever they are, with everything that we have. But it's not the beginning, and it's certainly not the end," Judeh said.

The pilot's father, Safi al-Kasasbeh, told CNN that King Abdullah II had promised him that Jordan would avenge his son's death and bombard ISIS' de facto capital of Raqqa in Syria. On Thursday, he said that the King told him 30 Jordanian fighter jets participated in the strikes.

"The homeland is entrusted to you all," he said alongside Abdullah, in remarks shown on state television, referencing Jordan's military and calling for national unity. "... For you (troops), to honor Moath is to uphold your oath and to follow in his footsteps as soldiers for God, his prophet (and) Islam ... in defending this dear homeland."

They can be stopped, but it means fighting the Iraq war all over again.  ISIS has been allowed to get so immense that we are now dealing with a formidible enemy that is armed with Amerian weapons.   Not only did Obama fail to get a Status of Forces Agreement and thus took every US military member our of Iraq, but they left behind tanks and all kinds of American weaponry as well.   So now we have an enemy that is armed with our weapons which would be used against us if we put troops on the ground.   They left weaponry behind to save money, but failed to destroy those weapons so that no one could use them.

This administration allowed the vacuum left by our departing forces to be filled by ISIS and it's only going to get worse.  Obama was warned that ISIS was growing and he brushed them off as "Jay-vee" and now "Jay-vee" has become varsity.

The fact remains that we had forces in Iraq for 11 years, trained the Iraqis, armed them and then left.  They refused to fight for their own country and ran from ISIS; that is why American weapons ended up in ISIS' hands.  I don't believe we had an obligation to stay there  and we have no obligation to go back there.  Let them fight their own battles.

That's always the best ting to do, redroses.  I pray the Lord will either change these barbarians or rid the world of them.  His will be done.

The tanks are useless if they don't have the logistics to maintain and repair them.  Also, the ones given to the Iraqis don't have the depleted uranium armor that the US has, so they aren't as well protected as ours.  When you factor in the munitions and encrypted communications equipment and you don't have much but a really heavy APC.

The engine is a unique turbine multi-fuel engine, I doubt they have any materials to maintain or repair them.  Once the engine goes out, they may be able to drag them into the desert and bury them and use them as a bunker/ambush point but that's about it.

Its not the ability, they are @ 40,000   the Army of Jordan is 60,000 all by itself.

It is the WILL to to do it. But the liberals would rather see it grow and people set on fire than face the real truth that people can be evil and that evil must be stopped
