There is a reason why God allows humans to be born disabled. He has a good reason why He as allowed this to happen. We just have to have faith and put our lives and any disabilities in His hands.God does not make mistakes.

God is in control of that as well.A person needs to open their heart to God.There are many choices in this world. That is one of them.

so bopeep - you really think you can choose and are not chosen - lets just take the majors in your life - did you choose when and where and to whom to be born, sex, religion, skin colour, eyes, hair, ugly or pretty/handsome able or disabled, brainy or not so brainy, your country, your parents, your relatives, your friends, the people and events that come into your life - perhaps it is truly in Him we move and live and have our being - twinc

John 9:1-3 ¶ And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth.
And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?

Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.

Matthew 9:1 ¶ And he entered into a ship, and passed over, and came into his own city.
Mt 9:2 And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee.
Mt 9:3 And, behold, certain of the scribes said within themselves, This man blasphemeth.
Mt 9:4 And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts?
Mt 9:5 For whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and walk?
Mt 9:6 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house.

While I don't believe the apostolic sign gifts are active in the church today, it's still a great testimony of those who glorify God, who are blind/disabled and that they "have not seen, and yet have believed"

Many struggle with the lust of the eyes, lust of the flesh, so it is a blessing. Then the account in Matthew 9 above, Jesus forgave his sins becuase sin is the root of sickness, (it entered the world thru sin Gen.3)

I believe its God's providence in it all... so in the search for truth, it leads to Christ and we know him by his word and studying the scriptures and looking forward to eternity.

There are lots of devils and false prophets out there to mislead us and we must be alert.

We make that choice once we either believe in Jesus Christ or reject Him.You have to look at John 3:16.

Twinc did you read John 3:16 and put your name in the Bible verse?

All people have a free will they either accept Jesus in their heart or they reject Him.

God didn't make us robots..

John1 :12-13

But to all who did receive Him, who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.

2 Cor. 4:3-4

And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled only to those who are perishing. In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

Does this help?   You have to make the desicious who you will serve_the god of this world or the God who saved you by giving His Son to die for your sins.

James 11:5

If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all [men] liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

Twinc, maybe consider that there are those who believe they can see but are blind.

Lately i've been wondering about "spiritual blindness". i recently got into an argument with an atheist skeptic who was "proving" that the paranormal (God, angels, and demons) don't exist by trying to summon and taunt demons. he kept complaining that his friends and family could see ghostly phenomena and get the ouija board to work, yet he couldn't. he came to the conclusion that his friends were just seeing the exact same hallucinations, and HE was the one who was perceiving everything accurately.

but was he born that way? and so what if he was? does that really give him a free pass to be an intellectual snob about it? or to assert that, if HE can't personally see something, it doesn't exist?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
