from The Blaze:

"Theologian Krish Kandiah, president of the London School of Theology, an evangelical school in Middlesex, United Kingdom, has a key question for people who embrace biblical sentiment: Should Christians own guns?..."

http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2015/05/20/should-christians-own-guns-theologian-challenges-believers-about-the-mixture-of-faith-and-firearms/

"Among his arguments on the gun front, Kandiah said that constitutional permission does not mean that Christians should definitively partake.

"'The fact that the Constitution allows something does not automatically mean it would be appropriate for Christians to bear arms....'"

The linked article also has a poll on whether or not Christians should own firearms.

An average of 117 people die in day in car crashes.

http://usnews.nbcnews.com/_news/2013/01/16/16547690-just-the-facts-gun-violence-in-america?lite

An average of 86 people die a day due to being shot.

53 of them Kill themselves. 30 are murdered, and a few accidents and police shooting.

People will find a way to kill themselves regardless. We don't blame the gun.

So if Christians are against Guns, then they would be hypocrites telling others not to own guns if they also road in a motor vehicle.

Sadly, being a hypocrite has not presented any stumbling blocks to many Christians.

The gun is not an issue. It is just a piece of metal. It is the person who is handling the gun.And I am afraid guns are getting in the wrong hands.Just look at the news.

Peep, weapons of all kinds are going to get into the hands of bad people....  gun laws don't stop them from getting guns, only law abiding citizens who are trying to protect themselves from the bad people who are going to get them no matter what the rest of us do.

to me the whole idea that christians should not be allowed to own firearms is about as absurd as the other thing i hear unbelievers often say... that christians should not vote. really, the secular world wants christians to be third class citizens with no rights whatsoever.

The Left uses crazy people who should never own guns as a reason to persecute law abiding citizens from owning.   You have no reason to fear a gun in the hands of a trained, licensed, law-abiding citizen.

I went to a wedding down south, once.  It seemed to me that everyone (but me) was packing heat at that wedding.  Guys and gals both had guns either in their purses, or on their person in sporty looking holsters.  I never felt so safe in my life.

How people are murdered in the United States. Around 32% people murdered are not by means of fire arms.

Likewise.  Lots of cans and paper targets, though.
