Job did not accuse God of wrongdoing.   He said, "though he slay me, yet will I trust him."   Job is not accusing God, he is saying, "even if God does slay me..."  That is not an accusation.   Job was not "running his mouth"    That is just silly.   Job was saying that he will trust God to the right thing, if it means that God takes his life.

It is clear that God gave permission to Satan to afflict Job.  To say otherwise is intellectual suicide.

It is clear that God gave permission to Satan to afflict Job.  To say otherwise is intellectual suicide.

If that be the case Shiloh, then we have to Ignore What Elihu said, who was the only one that spoke correctly on God's behalf, being the youngest of the men.

You say it is clear that God gave permission to Satan to murder the mans children, and you right there, only the intellect of man would think something like like about the God that sent His Son to save us.

The problem is not intelligence, but lack of revelation.  Because we see Moses hitting the Rock exclude himself from the promise land. That is simple enough for even a 1st grader to comprehend. We see David number his troops to make sure there was enough to win the battle, not trusting in God. That might be a bit more difficult for a 1st grader, but we see it.

We see Saul who only half obeyed God most the time then claim he did fully what the Lord said. What are those Sheep Saul? how they get here? We understand why He did not make it as King.

None of those situations God caused, or gave permission for judgement. Those guys brought it on themselves. 1st grade intellect could see clearly, and understand cause and effect here.

In Job's case it takes a little more care in comparing scriptures and not taking one passage, "Behold, all that he has is in your power." and giving it an interpretation standing by itself. Zero intellect would do that as we are warned from Peter not to do that.

Surely you can do better in understanding why God would say, "Pay attention stupid, Job is in your power." instead of just saying God was in a crummy mood that day, had no clue what Job would do, and had to prove something to a disobedient spirit who was lying through his teeth the whole time talking to God, because there is ZERO truth in him (John 8:44)

Surely God must have just been having such a bad day, that for the first and only time ever recorded one man who served him for no fault of his own, God decides to just take away all his money in livestock, Murder the mans children and makes him so sick he wish he were dead.

Do I over estimate you Shiloh? Am I wasting my time? I answer you because you seem to have a lot of revelation, I don't really want to wast time on anyone else. Job did something Shiloh, He broke a very serious spiritual law that was with God before the foundation of the World as the Word was with God, and is God, the same as the Word.

I'll help you out though. I believe you will see it.

But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.
(Mat 14:30)

The Lord commanded Peter to come out. Peter walked out. We know the Lord was not very happy with Peter though.

And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?
(Mat 14:31)

What cost Peter his Miracle? The wind was to much? The Lord just changed his mind? What was it?

First of all, God is sovereign.   God has total authority and control over everything that happens on this earth.  Nothing happens without God's permission for it to happen.  Your next breath is only possible because God allows it.   He owns this earth and he owns each of us and we live and breath only because it is God's good pleasure that we do so.

So yes, Satan tested Job with God's permission.   Job 1:12  clearly shows God giving Satan permission to test Job, but set a boundary not allowing Satan to take Job's life.  And again  in Job 2:6  we see God giving explicit permission to Satan to bring physical sickness on Job but again not allowing Satan to take his life.

To say that God did not give Satan permission demonstrates that you are not really reading the whole story.

I don't read anywhere in the interaction between God and Satan where God agree's to any deal, told him to make Job sick. In fact God said why are you trying to get me to harm Job without cause? In other words, God saw no point in even hurting Job.

However, we have more issues from your post than just what happened to Job. First issues is your ignoring Scriptures I gave you, not a good sign at all.

Next, your saying that no matter what man does, no matter what man believes, has faith, no faith, it don't matter. Then everything is left up to God.

God's will someone gets in a car drunk and kills that child crossing the street, His perfect plan. God's will that someone raped and murdered someone else. The rapist being in the perfect will of God since nothing happens God has total authority over everything on earth.

There are issues your having here that go way beyond just looking at Job.

In the case of Job, the Bible clearly shows that God gave Satan permission to make Job sick, but refused to allow the devil to take his life.  It is plain for anyone that reads it to see.

By Faith,

God said to Satan:

"Behold all he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not thine hand,"  (Job 1:12a)     In 2:6,  God says to Satan:  "Behold he is in thine hand; but save his life."     In those two verses, God gave Satan permission to afflict Job.    If you deny that, you are simply not an honest student of Scripture.

I am not ignoring the Scriptures you posted.   I am rejecting your misuse of them.

I am not talking about God's perfect will here.  I am not saying God wants people to get killed in car accidents.   But He allows it.   God has a perfect will and a permissive will.   God's perfect will is that men don't murder.  But, God allows people to murder.    God allows things he doesn't want to happen.

God's desire is that all men be saved, but he allows people to reject him and go to hell

God however is sovereign.   There are things God allows to happen, and He uses those things for His glory, just as He did in Job.   He uses our problems, tragedies and shortcomings to reveal himself to us.  Nothing happens without God's permission.

that is what I wanted to hear from you brother. Job had more than a problem, he lost his children. I almost lost mine, that is hard, but God is good.

I don't want to bang heads on you with this, I want you to see something instead. If you will just for me take God's love, God's goodness, the fact He has been so good to many here on the forums, then read and meditate on this.

Let me paint this for you.

Satan comes and speaks to Job. Satan has a theme, he always has that stupid theme he continues to bring to our attention, our mind, in our sight. It's how he causes mental illness. It starts with a suggestion. They can plant thoughts in your head through TV.

You cast it down, but after continually hammering you with this, showing you some stupid document that it might be true, a person can buy into it. TV can subliminally mind control you

Well, I can tell you, many are in the nut house today that believe this. They put tin foil on their head to stop the mind controlling waves. It sounds crazy to us, but they believe it, it's fact to them.

Now look:

Curse God Job, you die, your kids die, you loose everything. Just curse God, and it's over for you buddy.

Unlike David, Job did not know God as the protector, the one that slays thousands of troops that come at you. Job feared God, Job did not have a working love relationship with God. Satan used this.

Satan comes to Job, and says............. Your kids Job, they are drinking, they are together and they just might be cursing God in their heart. You never know Job, but one thing for certain. If they have cursed God Job, you loose ever single one of them. They will be dead Job, your seed, your heritage, all gone.

So, Job, who is listening to this starts to sacrifice animals, for Job said, "My Kids might have cursed God in their hearts, I must make atonement for them, just in case."

THUS JOB DID CONTINUALLY

The Sabeans and the Chaladeans where close by. A band of rotten men, and the reports of their evil where abounding. Job had great concern, what if they came, what would Job do?

Job had no rest, he worried day and night. What if they came (Chaladeans, and Sabeans), what if His kids were cursing God? Job wants things right, but is perplexed, in fear, in worry.

Job is acting on all Satan is presenting to him. It was Satan who said............ does Job serve you for nought, you hurt him God, you put your hands on him and he will curse you to your face.

The same thing Satan put in Job's mind concerning his Children. The Same thing on the mind of Job's wife saying, "Why hold onto your integrity, curse God and die."

You see the theme Shiloh? Curse God, and die. Your kids Job, might just be cursing God. You don't know, but just in case.......

Rom_6:16  Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

Job is running around, not at peace, not at rest, Satan has him acting on every lie He is feeding Job. There is not even a scripture saying if you curse God you die. Satan made that up, a lie, a fear.

Satan came to God.............

You hurt him God, Does Job serve you for nothing? You put a hedge around him, blessed the work of his hands, but if you hurt him God, he will Bless (Barak) curse you to your face. .He will blame you God.

God was not going to hurt Job. God said it was without cause. but God saw Satan interact with Job, Saw Job follow and act on the fear Satan put in Job, Satan had a place.

Job had more Faith in what Satan was telling him, than in God who would protect Him.

58 times we are told to Fear not

48 times to be not Afraid.

Shiloh said:

I am not talking about God's perfect will here.  I am not saying God wants people to get killed in car accidents.   But He allows it.   God has a perfect will and a permissive will.   God's perfect will is that men don't murder.

If you truly believe that, then you know the day Satan attacked was the day He had a place. Job's Sons and Daughters came together was the day. You know that God was not giving permission, but stating a fact after watching Job obey Satan in all his fears. All that Job has, is in your power.

You know, that if we follow after Satan, act on his lies, things don't come out well as it's written, Give not the devil a place.

For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me. I was not in safety, neither had I rest, neither was I quiet; yet trouble came.
(Job 3:25-26)

Can you see Brother, Our Great and awesome God was not at fault, neither gave permission? I just want you to see it, you don't have to admit anything. You can't follow the lies of the devil, and not give him a rightful place. God will not break his own Word and stop the devil. As the devils accused Jesus of tormenting them before it's time.

You have lots of great things to share with many here, I want you to see God is so good, and never did what folks said he did concerning Job.

58 times to fear not.
48 times be not afraid.

what did Job say?

Be blessed.

Sorry by faith.    but you are just not very convincing and your attempt to get weasel around the plain meaning of the text isn't going to work.    God gave explicit permission to Satan to afflict Job.  I presented the verses where God gave that permission.   You can spin it all you want, but it is right there.  God gave the permission.   Satan could not have done anything had God not allowed it.   Satan has no authority override God.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
