Jeremiah 30

3 The days are coming,' declares the LORD , 'when I will bring my people Israel and Judah back from captivity and restore them to the land I gave their forefathers to possess,' says the LORD ."

The destruction of Jerusalem in 70 A.D. by the Romans, scattered the Jewish people through-out the world and put them in Slavery, Held them captive, or just scattered. And they Jewish people found their way back to there land as prophesied in Isaiah. And remember God calls Israel

Very interesting. History, prophecy, and the Bible go hand-in-hand. How can anyone debate it, especially Christians, I still don't understand.

But Zion said, "The LORD has forsaken me, the Lord has forgotten me."

Matthew 27:46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

The L-rd entered fully into the suffering of His people and then as now is able to identify with their whole diaspora experience...and the rejection of people/nations everywhere they went..even/especially Christians. Never has the Holy Spirit in the role of Comforter been more desperately needed to reach out and touch the hearts of the Children of Zion...G-d has drawn them back to the land...now may He draw them back to Himself.

Luke 15:20 And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.

Good article Trinity, I printed it out to share with some friends.

One thing I might add concerning the times we live in is to make sure who the real Israel is. Jesus talked about there being a group that called themselves Jews and were not Jews. He had a very dim view of them and it is my understanding that they still exist.

Not for sure who they are, but watch and be careful. Things are getting sort of deceptive all over the world these days.

If any one knows for sure who these so called Jews that are not Jews are, I would really like to know for sure. Might make the end times make bit more sense.

So you all believe that the expulsion and oppression of the indigeonous Arab people in Palestine, in 1948, by Israel, is God's will?

God gave that land to Israel long before the Arabs were there. God punished Israel by scattering them to live in servitude to the Gentiles. Israel may not have been present in their land, but that does not negate the fact that it is their land.

As I understand it, the Palestines had nearly abandoned the land and it was barren and desolate. It wasn't until Israel began to return to the land the the Palestines also began to return. I am told that Israel began to prosper in the land again and the Palestines came back to the land for work.

So, the Palestines are not the indigenous people but rather, the Israelis are. Yes, it is not only Gods' will, but it is his PLAN to return Israel to the land they have been promised. The same covenant was made with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob that this land was a gift to them and their seed for all time. Gods plan for the land is shown to us in Ezekiel I believe.
