Yeah, it's just hype.  I get so tired of these environmental nut jobs.

It saddens me that some Christians think we can do whatever we want to the environment without repercussions because God is in control.

I do understand that politicians often and do use tragedies such as environmental disasters as a power grabbing tool, but that is no excuse to completely disregard environmental issues.

UDX Christians know the outcome of all things... it is written down for us clearly and decisively. There will be

no surprises and the Word is sufficient to give peace to all areas of life now and what will be. Love, Steven

Like I said, the very sentiment you espouse is no excuse to be irresponsible and do whatever you feel like. It is no excuse to do nothing, just like it is no excuse to not do anything for God's kingdom just because we know it would turn out alright at the end. By this bad logic, you can argue that nobody would have to preach the gospel, because somehow it would preach itself because the outcome is already written 'clearly' and 'decisively'.

Had we completely disregard environmental problem, such as treating waste water, dumping toxins into lake and oceans, release of radioactive waste, recycling, because God would somehow take care of it, we would be living in a far more polluted environment and unpleasant environment than we are now.

No one that I can see is suggesting that we be bad stewards of the planet and just pollute and trash as much as we like.  Many of us do what we can to recycle and reduce waste and get as much possible us out of something before we dispose of it.   We compost, recycle and dispose of chemical as safely as we can at the appropriate locations.

But we are not going to get into all of the unnecessary environmental conspiracy theories that you come on this board to foist upon us

this country has taken great steps in cleaning up both our air and water....   we really need China to step up to what we have done before we destroy ourselves to make up for what others are doing today....

I think this is more about destroying the USA than cleaning up the environment.

I agree in principal and   that  the western world  ,and most particularly the U.S. have greaty polluted the earth, with massive amounts of rubbish, and have thrown food into the sea when there is an excess ,rather than allow it to affect the markets .(stock exchange ).

The US uses half of the worlds resources especially in fuel ,and it is time that Christians faced the fact that they will be held accountable for their greed ,and for their destroying of the ecosystems . Whether or not this affects the temperature may not be conclusive ,but the former is certainly true, and is ignored by so many .

I do not agree that simply waiting for Jesus to come ,while ignoring the effect we have on others trying to survive on the planet

is going to please the Lord . How we treat each other, includes not destroying their capacity to grow crops to survive .

Well I am pleased to know that most people here are doing their best and that is all we can do .We cannot be responsible for the emerging economies, who until it gets too bad for them to live in, will want all the mod cons that we have had for years  :well not me as I have never had a car ,don't have a dishwasher now as .I like the simple life much like in chidlhood ,but with the tele (which is not trashy

like yours  ), and the internet . Sorry, but I have glanced some of the stuff you have on the tele, and I pray that it will not come here .

You are probably correct ,I am quite old and there is no overall increase in temperature that I can observe .

About four years ago ,I think there was talk of an Eco tax in France which went on for ages ,but finally the people affected went on strike ,blocked ports and so on,  and the government backed down .They are now afraid of the lorry drivers etc and  it is really a non subject here  :  apart from lessening traffic in the big cities with alternate entry days for cars  ,and more bicyles

Yes but the polluters and rubbish dumpers will not be there as we will be responsible ,and enjoy looking after it all .

Sometimes when we read between the lines we come away with a totally different context than that which is written...

The whole of my point is God says it's going to get bad beyond anything that is known! Because God who cannot lie guess

what is going to happen-?- Love, Steven

I don't know where you got your data, Thallasa, but I did a pretty thorough search to find the percentage of world resources used by the U.S. and it's less than 25%.  That's still disproportionate but we DO pay for all of that which supports the world economy.  As for pollution, we have done more than most other countries to clean up our act.  See below:

You've always had a good sound mind toward logic... I'll stop there lest I puff you up :)

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
