Netanyahu says relationship with Obama no bearing on Iran deal

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu insisted on Tuesday evening that his strained relations with US President Barack Obama had no effect on the nuclear agreement signed between world powers and Iran.

"The political claims being made that my personal relationship with President Obama had any bearings on the nuclear agreement - are baseless," Netanyahu said.

 

"Even before I entered my job as prime minister, there were intentions in the American administration to normalize relations with Iran. After that, the US launched secret negotiations with Iran later became public," he added.

Why would Netanyahu try to downplay Obama's hatred (dislike? contempt?) for him and for Israel at this time?  They definitely have a bearing on giving Iran something which it never should have.  Actually this deal puts the whole world on the brink of disaster, and America will pay a high price for this foolishness.

Over the years, I have always noticed that no one really complains about the Arab goal to wipe Israel off of the map, to annihilate the Jews and so on.   They only seem to find their voice when the Jews declare that they have no intention of being wiped out and no intention of dying.  Suddenly the world is outraged.   And while the world is fairly okay with other nations having nukes, it is "evil"  for Jews to have them.

 

Whatever other nations do in self-defense is self-defense and the right of a sovereign nation is self-defense.  No one disputes that until ISRAEL  operates under those same principles.  When Israel uses the same defensive countermeasures, and even if those countermeasures are non-lethal, those actions are suddenly "racist"  or they are called "state sponsored terrorism."   

 

The rules always change when Israel/the Jews are plugged into the equation.

Why would you assume I would?   I don't.

 

And neither will I defend the evil of the intention of a nation to take everyone else with them.
