I have not seen anything from Billy Graham which indicates he is a false teacher.

Bopeep,

You might want to do some more research on Billy Graham.  When a fundamentalist Gospel preacher joins hands with the RCC, that is a teaching in itself.  But there are other issues, and since he is not WOF, that would be off topic.

As to the WOF adherents, it is extremely sad that they are being duped and don't realize it.  Perhaps many cannot or do not study the Word of God, therefore false teachers take advantage of them.  Those who are low income are looking for a way out, and they are being deceived.

I have heard many of Billy Graham's sermons.Show me documentation that Billy Graham is a false teacher.

WoF

To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.
Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
Romans 3:26-28

WoF Teachers

“Christ's atonement fully satisfied the demands of God's righteousness, so forgiveness and mercy are guaranteed to those who receive Christ in humble, repentant faith.” ~ John F. MacArthur Jr.

If through faith you have placed your eternal destiny in the loving hands of Jesus Christ, you can be sure that God is at work, shaping the events and circumstances of your life into a beautiful mosaic that will reveal His Son to the men and women around you. His hand is on you, as it has been since before you were born. ~ Chuck Smith

I've read the last pages of the Bible. It's all going to turn out all right. ~ Billy Graham

Let's be a doers! Let's be people of vision! There's much too much to be done for the Lord to be sitting around criticizing. Let's determine to stop being complainers and go forth and do great things for Him! ~ George Whitten

“And whatever God asks of you, He will give you the strength to do.” ~ Erwin W. Lutzer

“If God has saved you, He has saved you by faith--plus nothing. God is not accepting any kind of good works for salvation. But after you are saved, God talks to you about your works.” ~ J. Vernon McGee

Since when does a question about WOF teachers turn into bashing one of the greatest evangelists of our time? Sure he's not perfect but no one is. Instead of bashing our brothers and sisters in faith we should lift them up to the Lord and extend them the same grace God gives us every day. If one says or does something wrong, point it out in love, and let God convict.

Hey MG,

Most people don't fall for the WoF thing, but they prey on desperate people who need a miracle and will grasp on to anything that they think will give then hope.

I think if a person is well grounded in the true literal word of God they will not fall for the deception of WOF.

There are a lot conspiracies about Billy Graham and misquotes as well.

I have never heard him every preach or teach anything but the pure Gospel.   He has made some mistakes and he is the first one  in line to admit it.   He admits he got too close to president Nixon and let himself get too involved in politics when he was young.   He wishes he had read his Bible more and went to less meetings.  He has some regrets and he readily admits his errors.

See, Billy Graham can't be charged with the same crimes an marital infidelity and financial impropriety that plagues other ministries.   So they have to make stuff up or trump things up to be more than what they really are.   It really bugs the media.

When Graham and the rest of his team first started, they made a pact that they would never be with a woman  in private other than their wife.   Graham would not even ride in an elevator alone with a woman.

His ministry has the highest level of integrity of any ministry in the world.

Word of Faith teachers are not servants of a God.   Their gospel is not the Gospel of Christ.  Their "gospel" of health, money, bigger houses, better cars, private jets and Armani suits doesn't really offer anything that you would not want as a unregenerate sinner.  They even admit that their principles will work for anyone saved or not.

Well if he is the first to admit his mistakes then it sounds like he is doing as a man of God is supposed to do.I once heard him say that when he first began his ministry that him and a couple of his very close men friends who were always with him when he was preaching made a pact with each other to never be alone with a woman besides their wives. There was always two or more of them together.

When I was in Tulsa, most of the people who were hardcore adherents to the Word of Faith movement were lower income people.  Not sure of any racial demographic, but they were either poor rural or urban dwellers.

The Word of Faith movement preys on the sick and the poor and promises them healing and prosperity which never comes.  It's always carrot on a stick.  "Just keep planting that seed"  they are told.  "Don't give up, your harvest is on its way."    And it never comes, but they still keep chasing what is always out of their reach.  They are still living on beans and bread while the prosperity teachers are eating porterhouse steaks, prime rib and jumbo shrimp.

They can regurgitate what Copeland and Hagin and others teach, but they never see the reality play out and I am talking about people who have been at this for 15 or 20 years.  They live in low income housing and trailer parks and stuff.   I hated to see the people come into the grocery store where I worked and barely able to afford their groceries because they spent their money on books and gave a bunch of money away to some ministry  hoping that God was going to send them a windfall/harvest.   Really sad.

But when you are desperate for a miracle, you will grab on to anything.

I guess I just don't understand the WOF thing.  It's 'give to get' message shouldn't be believed by ANYONE and yet millions of people believe and 'sow a seed' to these fake ,ministries.  I've watched them on t.v. and the one never ending message is how God wants us to give and be obedient and how THEY (whoever it might be) are 'anointed' and the HS told them this or that.  Still don't see how anyone could fall for that rubbish.

2 Timothy 4:3-4  For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fablEx

Exactly.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
