The people with these abilities are not evil. They are, however, deceived. The devil allows them to believe they are doing good because he has them where he wants them.

There is no precedent in scripture showing that God works this way. When a word, an ability, a miracle, etc., comes from God... there is no room for doubt that it IS God.

Satan's deception of Christians is his subtlety. His methods are not always obvious or evil looking. He's very sly.

One more thing about the "crime solving" psychics..think of it this way. If they can draw attention to themselves and their "abilities" then they are drawing attention away from God and His abilities. Why pray or seek God (who usually doesn't answer us immediately) when you can call up a psychic and get instant answers? Who needs faith when a psychic can tell you what you want to hear right now? See what I mean? Typically they serve as a subsitute for the real thing. They act as mediators between us and the "spiritual realm", when Scripture clearly teaches us there is ONE mediator between God and man, and that's Jesus Christ.

But what about the psychics who really do help police and others in solving cases? I don't know, I just find it hard to believe all these people are evil.

Also ...spirits can see what is going on in our world the whole time...they cannot read thoughts,but they can reveal things to those who have opened themselves up to be channellers of messages from the 'spirit world'. Thus if a person through bereavement is drawn to say a Spiritualist Church to see if they can get some comfort from a message from the dearly departed they will be in the visible presence of a Medium on stage and the invisible presence of many demons that will whisper things to the Medium that they have seen....this can vary from brushing your teeth with a red toothbrush to spilling your coffee on a person called Freds lap to having a love affair with a 'Bob' or a 'Bill'.etc. They know things about the dead person that they observed when he or she was alive.

There is also a deal of fishing and deception going on as Mediums hook into the unfortunate victim and toy with their fragile emotions. Do not be amazed at the accuracy of some of the things they come out with ...understand the source and whereas it has a semblance of good it is not...nobody should have anything whatsoever to do with any spirit save the Holy Spirit. These poor people are deceived by the Medium into thinking a relative is at hand...it is not it is a deceiving spirit...Mediums know this but will not readily admit it.

Every filthy little demon has to flee at the name of Jesus and we should never worry or be intimidated when we see demonic manifestations of any sort...we need to exercise a little wisdom and bide our time sometimes...but we are not to be ignorant of the way Satan and his chums operate.

I like it when I read how Paul got fed up to the back teeth with this demon possessed lady bugging him non-stop...even though she was telling the truth...but it was where this information was originating that mattered...Paul didn't want a demon testifying of his mission..so he zapped the blighter in the name of Jesus.

Acts 16:16 And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying:

Acts 16:17 The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation.

Acts16:18 And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour.

Lets be like Paul bold and full of the Holy Ghost and not give an inch to any spirit that would trouble us...and set others free that are troubled. Amen.

I have a Christian freind, whose neice has his ability. Not sure of her age, but she is younger than 10, I know that. Along with seeing "people" that no-one else can, she has talked of a "past life" and given details of what happened to her then. Her parents have looked into it, and confirmed the details of what she has told them.

I don't know what to think of it. She is a very normal little girl, and just comments things like, "Oh, there goes so-and-so walking by" and things of that nature. She says they are all over, everywhere people go, they are just not seen by most. And she indicates they DO know that she can see them.

Can't comment exactly but I suspect your friends neice is being spoken to by spirits who I have been at pains to show in the previous post know things from the past...in this case they are feeding the girl information that makes her seem like she has had a past life and now gets people hooked on regressive therapy or opens them up to other religions that believe in re-incarnation.

The demons love to sucker people in and they can fool some of the people all the time...For many this is just the sort of 'proof' they need to make that step of faith into trusting the words of a demonic entity and not the L-rd. I also suspect that there will be a history of close relatives of this girl having been messing with spirits in one form or the other...quite often it comes through contact with a Medium/Fortune-Teller/Mystic or an experience with a Ouija board.

Your right. Who the phychics hear from is not God. However I"m amazed at the nunber of christians who buy into this. I avoide them like I would the black plague. There is one that comes to mind. Her name is Sylvia Brown. She is down right scary. Talks to her "spirit guides" right there in front of the camera. Personally it makes my skin crawl.
