Well Eprom: I DON'T think you're a fool! I am operating under the assumption that you DON'T take W5 (or 60 MINUTES, or Nightline, or--fill in the blank with any TV "journalism"--) at face value.....even if they are criticising someone you detest.

PS: I've no allegiance to Benny Hinn at all. I've never sent his ministry a red cent, or a letter saying 'well done.' I refuse to watch Ministers who are better looking than me! I am now limited to Rex Humbard and John Hagee!

I do apologize for the stridency of my verbiage; this just strikes a strong negative chord with me, as I personally transcribed the show and took it to some attorneys to see if my friend could have a case for lible. The answer was NO. The fact is what might be lible against one of us poor folks of the 'common herd,' IS NOT when the same sorts of lies are spread about celebrities. The standard for proving lible is sooooo high for people in the public spotlight, that I've learned NOT to believe any of these wicked lying shows, whether they are 'exposing' Hinn, or Hannegraf.

OK, I've been reluctant to say anything, since I know around here Hinn is regarded as a cult leader . . .

But I personally was a little bothered by the title of this thread:

To me it comes across as if we should be cheering on the Hindus to have stopped Hinn. As if the victory of the Hindu religion is something to cheer about?

I am willing to accept this is not what was meant when the title was written. But, well . . . ?

We must be careful what we say or write about T.V. Evangelist or others.

We are not to plaster each and everything that they say and do

all over the world, and judging them.

GOD didn't make me Sheriff over them.

I am not in the judgement seat, GOD is.

They are accountable for what they do , just as we are.

When people slander these T.V. Evangelist, or anybody ......

they need to be careful... they could get sued.

I am not saying this to hurt anyone, I am just speaking the truth here.

I hold no brief for the UltraLib News Media Elite whether CBS, NBC, ABC or CNN. Neither do I think that anyone who claims to be a Bible healer can validate that claim without effecting the healings & miracles of the same Bible. Why the continual singular emphasis on platform "after-effects" minus prior medical evaluation & verification? And why no New Testament-type healings involving congenital disabilities such as medically-verified blind-from-birth individuals or healing gatherings in a string of AIDS wards re HIV-AIDS victims? Better still, if God is not limited, the most obvious location for a series of healing endeavors would be in the local cemetery, would it not? And if not, why not? Didn't Christ & His disciples actually raise dead people such as decomposing Lazarus, the Widow of Nain's son in that funeral procession, and that dear man who fell three stories after the Apostle Paul's lengthy sermon to name but three? Isn't that SAME God alive, alert and able today?

Modern healers underscore a very limited God to this particular observer, One who can indeed heal but cannot heal of anything regardless. And, of course, I'm still waiting for the first modern healer to publicly advocate that people obediently follow James' direction re the church & healing in Chapter Five. Maybe never? Biblical declarations re healing in Jesus' Holy Name are to surrender for. God CAN heal....He MAY heal....He may NOT heal....He may call us home instead (which Paul assures is "far better"). AMEN!

Well Arthur, maybe this will approach an explanation for why we don't see more of the very dramatic healings of Jesus' Ministry: Paul notes that 'each man prophesies according to the measure of his faith....' In other words, God only uses them AS FAR AS THEIR OWN FAITH GOES. Perhaps it is the same in the healing biz???
