But that does not negate the scriptures which speak of mankind after that either, which I produced above. Notice especially: Genesis 5:1This is the written account of Adam's family line. When God created mankind, he made them in the likeness of God. Genesis 9:6"Whoever sheds human blood, by humans shall their blood be shed; for in the image of God has God made mankind. These two verses speak of Adam's FAMILY LINE being made in the likeness/image of God, of MANKIND being made in the image of God. Scripture is very explicit and clear on this point - all of mankind is made in the image of God.

True, but when a man of supposed spiritual authority says muslims and christians are brothers and sisters, it is at best, misleading. It is essentially adding agreement to the many different ways to God. It is only helping satan spread the lie to any of the lost that they can do it "their way". You are free to argue how words can have several different meanings, however. All the arguing that the pope could have meant this or that, is lost on the lost. We are all God's creation, but we are not all God's children. God's children are ONLY the redeemed community believers in Jesus. The rest are of their father the devil. No one outside of Christ are brothers or sisters with believer.

There are many ways to classify this, the one you gave is one of those. Some definitions are tight, others are loose. When we come to the brotherhood of all mankind, it is a very loose definition but valid one IMHO simply because we are all human beings. This is a natural relationship we have with all human beings. We can even extend this to the spiritual for ALL mankind is made in the image of God. To say we are not brothers with a particular segment of mankind is to deny ALL being made in the image of God. I have a serious problem with that. It's really a matter of not being brothers and sisters of unbelievers. We can have that relationship with muslims but first they must repent and come to the Lord. I think if people read more into what was said than what was really there then it would appear misleading. I disagree with the way you're interpreting it. Some of the New Age 'evangelists' are as well.
