John 5:15-18
15 The man went away, and told the Jews that it was Jesus who had made him well. 16 And for this reason the Jews were persecuting Jesus, because He was doing these things on the Sabbath. 17 But He answered them, "My Father is working until now, and I Myself am working."
NASB

When Jesus was accused of working on the sabbath, he simply admitted that yes he was....   no excuses or talking about good work and bad work, just admitted to working on the sabbath.

So if the old Covenant laws are valid, we are all going to hell.

you are not getting what I am putting down, and I don't think if we are saved by the grace of Yashua, that we go to hell, if we are abiding and being obedient to the call of a true follower and believer , for by faith we are saved , and in belief we confess, and in action we do , so what am I missing here, that you think I have turned this up side down ?

otherone, I love the way you come across, and it makes me work harder to keep me inline,  and try to prove what I can , thank you brother,

He said not one jot nor tittle would pass away until all (the law) was fulfilled.

  • Mat 5:18

For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

Jesus fulfilled all the law.

The condition for it passing away was met.

Then Paul tells us it indeed was passing away.

From the thread you took my post above and replied to I went into that verse looking at the key words in the original language and there it is so clear there is no room for debate about what Paul said.

And it matches exactly what Jesus said about  not one jot or tittle would pass away till all the law was fulfilled-  and He fulfilled all the law.  Jesus gave the condition, He met the condition, and Paul announced its final end.

you are not correct, for what is in store as part of the prophecies as was spoken , none is completed until heaven and earth passes, so , try again, where are you getting this from,

are you reading a different bible then me, or are you in a different religion ? I see a lot that does not make sense , when its all spelled out ,  ?

If Jesus sinned before he was crucified, his sacrifice can't cover our sins, because he would have deserved to die.  So if he is guilty of working on the Sabbath (if the fourth commandment was still active, then he would have been guilty of sinning....   or at the very least lying about it to the Jews when he said he was working if he wasn't..  you can't get around that....

What it takes to get to heaven is, come judgment day, Jesus says that you and/or I are his and judgment is passed over for none of us ever are going to be worthy to go to heaven.

so my brother, I think you just opened a can of worms that may be explosive here,

are you telling me that the law of the ten commandments are not in effect at all because Jesus, said if you lost one sheep would you not go out and get him ,on the Sabbath, is this what you are saying, I want to make sure I am very clear, on what you are stating before I answer, my brother

so you are also saying that the ten commandments are completely voided now by grace, ?

I think you are holding the rope to tight,  and I need to understand where you are coming from, please expand,  if you dare too, ?

From what I understand of Gods plan of Mercy and Grace, is that even as we are sinners, God Grace is there to receive us under Gods wing, and His Mercy is there to forgive us without payment or merit (its a free unmerited gift for all those who come to God and ask for forgiveness=Mercy and Grace=welcoming us into His fold.

Christ Jesus the promised Messiah paid the price -penalty- to buy us back from satan"s hold on us. That is Gods plan of Mercy and Grace in action.

Mercy= unwarranted forgiveness

Grace = free gift of salvation into Gods fold.

If we read the psalms we can see also that God showed His Mercy and Grace to those who seeked God out with a sincere heart and who were willing to follow the 10 commandments over the their own fleshly desires.

The difference of the New covenant with the Messiah Jesus having paid the penalty for our sins, is that when we repent to God for our sins by placing our sins on the cross with Christ Jesus. who paid the penalty for our sins to buy us back from satans hold, and than invite the Holy spirit of God to come make a home in our hearts, we are  inviting the laws of God (the 10 commandments) to be written in our hearts.

it is God plan our Mercy and Grace working in our heart through the Holy spirit living in us, convicting our spirit and working in us to change us(refine us) through the power of the Holy Spirit in us, step by step into the child of God we were always intended to be.

The difference is the penalty of our sins was paid on the cross when Christ Jesus came forth, so that the commandment could live in our hearts, by the Holt spirit living in our hearts.

Before Christ Jesus came the Jewish people were living not only from the law of the ten commandments, but of so many other laws that actually enslaved them more than freeing them.

Christ Jesus, Messiah Jesus, the sacrificial Lamb of God (who takes away the sins of this world) came to free us from the bondage's of sins as well as the bondage's of man added -on man made laws.

It was through God Mercy=undeserved, unmerited forgiveness

and

Gods Grace = undeserved welcoming into Gods family= uniting us back home into Him, through the blood covering of His Son who paid the penalty of our sins, our advocate Christ Jesus= our Good shepherd.

Matthew 5:17

Christ Jesus said:

17"Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill.

18"For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law until all is accomplished

Hebrews 8: 10

I will put my laws in their minds and write them on their hearts.

No I would tell you that the ten commandments are not in effect because Jesus replaced them with two.    And if you follow the two you will not break any of the ten, but the ten won't get you to heaven.    None of the old covenant pertained to eternity.  Only this physical life.

But if the ten were still in effect, then i would say that we are doomed for Jesus plead guilty to working on the Sabbath.

When you say that they are avoided by grace, that is misleading....  unless you have allowed Jesus to come into your life and let him be your Lord, and follow the commandments that He Jesus gave us, I say you do not have grace.

But if you do follow Jesus's commandments you will not have any trouble with the ten commandments....    if you lead of life of holiness, you are keeping the sabbath holy, and every other day.

What day did Jesus take off????     Even at age 14 he was in the synagogue doing the work of his Father.

What you guys are doing going back to the old law  is dangerous to believers.

Matt 25:31-46

31 "But when the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then He will sit on His glorious throne. 32 "And all the nations will be gathered before Him; and He will separate them from one another, as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats; 33 and He will put the sheep on His right, and the goats on the left. 34 "Then the King will say to those on His right, 'Come, you who are blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. 35 'For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in; 36 naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me.' 37 "Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see You hungry, and feed You, or thirsty, and give You drink? 38 'And when did we see You a stranger, and invite You in, or naked, and clothe You? 39 'And when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?' 40 "And the King will answer and say to them, 'Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.' 41 "Then He will also say to those on His left, 'Depart from Me, accursed ones, into the eternal fire which has been prepared for the devil and his angels; 42 for I was hungry, and you gave Me nothing to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me nothing to drink; 43 I was a stranger, and you did not invite Me in; naked, and you did not clothe Me; sick, and in prison, and you did not visit Me.' 44 "Then they themselves also will answer, saying, 'Lord, when did we see You hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not take care of You?' 45 "Then He will answer them, saying, 'Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.' 46 "And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life."
NASB

Here is a story about a group of people who are surprised in that they are going to hell.......     so read it carefully and tell me which of the ten commandments did these people break.  You can keep the old ten commandments you entire life and still go to hell.

You see, no only are you not supposed to steal, murder, lie about or mess with your neighbors wife.......    you are supposed to not even want to....   and further more you are supposed to be concerned about his/her well being and help when there is a need.

The ten commandments come very short of the living standard that Jesus gave us.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
