Fox Business News states it's because stocks are joined at the hip to oil prices, and cheap gas has led to several stock "sell offs" this month alone. Since oil prices are only one of a hundred and one factors, what we are seeing is pure market manipulation by those who profit from the rise and fall of stocks. This is not a game for ordinary investors. This game is for billionaires and hedge fund managers.

In a sense, it is our "free market" system that is represented in the third seal of Revelation (Revelation 6:5). In reality, the presence of the central banks, and their control over the creation of currency, eliminates the reality of a "free market" according to Alan Greenspan in his interview on the The Daily Show in 2007. He says, "to the extent there is a central bank governing the amount of money in the system, that is not a free market and most people call it regulation." Therefore, it is reasonable to conclude that the stock market is just an illusion of a "free market" that is actually a market controlled by the ones who are governing the amount of money in the system. To really have a "free market" would require increased freedom in the method of increasing currency circulation. For example, the gold rush. During the time of the gold rush, people could go out and try to collect a form of currency without anyone's permission. This is something central banks do not want us to think is a possibility if we want to have a healthy economy. But, at one point this was possible, and oddly enough did not create inflation the way central banks have either. So, yes the stock market is flooded with surplus, because it was a way of preaching that all was well to continue building the beast.
